Michael's POV

Lately, things have been going really well with Amelia and I. The two of us were hanging out a lot, as per usual, and it was fun. Unfortunately, her and Ashton's friendship had blossomed into a relationship and I only wish that would happen with her and I.

Today was Friday. On Fridays Amelia would come over and we'd play video games and eat pizza. We had a grand ol' time every Friday. Even if Ashton wanted to take her out, she'd decline because she already had plans with me. That made me very happy to know that she prefers to have me over her current boyfriend.

While she was over today, we were playing the latest Call of Duty game which was Ghosts. In the middle of a game of Infected, Amelia's phone went off.

I paused the game for her to answer it. She pulled it out of her pocket and put it up to her ear. "Hello?" she answered. "...Ugh... Do I have to?... But I'm hanging out with Michael today... Yeah, but... Really?... Okay... Fine, see ya later."

She hung up her phone and glared at me. I raised my eyebrow in curiosity. "What happened?" I questioned.

"My mum and dad are going out and need me to babysit the stupid children," she replied still glaring at me. "I told her I was with you and she told me to invite you to come and help me. So do you will join in my crusade?"

I nodded immeadiately. "Of course," I said. "When does she want you over there?"

"Five, so we have like an hour," she stated.

"Great, lets get back to the game," I then unpaused the game and we started playing again.

I turned off my XBox and Amelia and I went down my stairs and to the bottom floor. "Mum!" I called. "I'm going to Amelia's house to help babysit her siblings!"

"'Kay! Have fun!" I heard her call from somewhere.

Amelia and I then ran out of the house together into my car. We drove to her house and I parked on the road in front of her house.

We got out and went up to her front door which was unlocked. We went in and saw her parents walking down the stairs all dressed up ready to go out. "Hey, Michael, how've you been?" Mrs. Oswald asks readjusting her earring.

I smiled at her to be friendly. "Great," I answered. "How are you?"

"We're good," she replied as her and Mr. Oswald made their way to the door. "Okay, Amelia, you know the procedures. Be good!"

"Mhmm," Amelia hummed. "Bye."

The Oswalds left and had Amelia and I in the front room.

"Let's go see where they all are," she suggested.

I then followed her as she went around the entire house looking for her siblings. She had a brother and a sister. Her brother was pretty tame... most of the time, but her sister was constantly talking and was just plain annoying. We found her younger sister, Penny, sitting at their XBox playing Minecraft in the game room they had. Amelia cringed as she saw Minecraft on the screen, she had a deep hatred for the game. Then we found her little brother, Jack, in his room reading a comic book.

Amelia gave a sigh of relief and then we went towards her room. "Okay, so we don't have to worry about them," she stated. "They seem preoccupied."

We stepped into her lavender colored room and sat on her huge bed. She sat with her legs crossed and clutched a pillow to her chest. I sat down on the edge of her bed putting all my weight on my right arm.

"So," she said awkwardly.

"So," I mimicked.

Amelia then stuck her tongue out at me and groaned. "I don't know what to do!" she exclaimed.

"Well, what do you normally do when you babysit?" I wondered.

"I listen to music and write/read fanfiction," she responded with a laugh. "I doubt you want to do that."

"The listening to music part of it sounds appealing," I told her as I laid down on her bed.

Amelia pulled out her phone and started playing In Bloom by Nirvana. She then positioned herself so that she was lying the opposite direction of me. Her face was where mine was and we just looked up at the ceiling while she put her phone on her chest.

There was a bit of silence before either us said anything. She then piped up and said, "You know, you are my best friend. And I mean it when I say that. I think that you are the greatest person that I've ever met and I'm grateful for our friendship. Even when I'm off at college and you're doing who-knows-what I want to keep in close touch."

I nodded. "Of course," I agreed. "I want to, too. Because I feel the exact same way. Sometimes I feel that we are closer friends than Luke, Calum, and I."

I looked over to see her smiling at the ceiling with her beautiful hazel eyes. "That's nice to know," she said facing me.

Another moment of silence passed before there was a weird sound. Amelia then groaned and got off of the bed. "Ugh, I'm hungry," she whined. She then went downstairs and I followed her. She ordered a half cheese half pepperoni pizza with cheese in the crust.

Whilst we waited for the pizza we sat on the couch and Amelia turned on the tv. Doctor Who was on, so she immediately clicked on it and we watched her favorite show. I had no clue what was going on, I just saw a guy with a big chin and a brunette girl in present day London.

Amelia knew I didn't know a thing about the show and she would always try to explain it, but I always was completely lost.

When we first met, Luke mentioned I liked the show, which wasn't true. After the first few months of our friendship I confessed to her that I knew nothing and she laughed and nodded and said she knew the entire time. This made me really like her because she could tell when someone was lying about something. Amelia is just the perfect person to be around all the time.

The pizza came and we called Jack and Penny to eat it. All in all it was a great night and I got to hang out with my best friend, and that's all I really asked for.

Kinda short... sorry...
