Cafeteria
Lunch Period 4
Michael's POV
It was Monday and I haven't talked to Amelia since Saturday. It wasn't because I didn't want to, it's because I normally have her start the conversion. I don't want her to think that I'm clingy or something. We aren't even dating and I'm worried about being clingy... way to go Michael... way to go...
I didn't pick her up for school today because she told me not to. Apparently she had her own ride. I was a bit upset about this because this was our tradition that we had. I don't know why she didn't need me too, except maybe she was sick today. Normally, when she's sick she doesn't tell me so I can come over and comfort her for a while. Then she tells me that school had started ten minutes ago so I'd quickly rush to school and accept my tardiness. I didn't really care though. I got the chance to be with her for half an hour, and that was all I really even want. Just to be with her.
Anyway, I left my classroom and went directly to the cafeteria. I walked in and went to our regular table. To my surprise, I didn't see Amelia sitting there. That's strange, she's normally here before me... was she not here today? No, I saw her in second period. Where was she?
I sat across from my mates. They were too engrossed in conversation to notice me, and I was hungry. So I got up and entered the lunch line. While I was getting my food, I felt someone flick the back of my head.
I turned around and saw Lia sanding there. "Just wanted to tell you that your stroking buddy got a new client," she told me with a hip jetted out to the side.
"What?" I asked oblivious to what in the world she meant.
"Your stroking buddy!" she yelled at me. "As in Amelia!"
I rolled my eyes. "Will you stop with the stupid jokes?!" I yelled back. "Amelia and I are not, or were never, together! So please stop!"
"No," Lia said shaking her head. "Anyways, as I was saying, she got a new client."
I made a confuse face. "Client?" I questioned.
Lia groaned and slapped my face. I quickly reacted and held my cheek. "You idiot!" she yelled. "She's dating Seth!"
My eyes widened in horror. "What?" I questioned. "Since when?"
"Since Saturday, bitch."
"I'm not a bitch, I'm a guy," I told her with an emotionless face.
"Sure you are," she said as she walked away.
I hate her SO much...
I then grabbed my food and looked all over the room for Amelia. I finally spotted her at the "popular" table next to Seth. I expected her to be smiling and laughing, but she was just sitting there eating out of her My Little Pony lunchbox. Every once in a while she'd glance around the room as if she's looking for someone. Her eyes then met mine and she smiled an uncomfortable smile. I smiled back a warm hearted smile and motioned towards our table, but she shook her head. Then she returned her gaze to Seth and his group of annoying cronies.
I went over to the usual table and sat down in my spot. "Hey," Calum welcomed.
I gave a nod in response and began eating with my head down. "Michael, what's wrong?" Luke questioned.
I jerked my head in the direction of where the new couple was sitting. Luke and Calum looked over and then back at me. "Why would you care?" Luke asked. "I thought you didn't have any feelings for her."
