Chapter 21

Eric's POV

He blew himself up...

"Oh my god," I whispered.

"Cameron? CAMERON?" Scarlet yelled, running over to the scene.

Sam and Melody ran over as well as I just fell to the floor, holding back tears.

"Why Cameron? If I had known you would have just sacrificed yourself..." I trailed off, holding my breath.

The girl from before looked some what furious mixed with sadness.

"GOD DANG IT CAMERON! IF I KNEW THATS WHAT YOU WOULD HAVE DONE I WOULD HAVE NEVER LET YOU GO!" She yelled.

She clutched her fists and her cat ears were flattened.

I didn't pay much mind to her really, my brain just kept replaying the scene over and over again, figuring out if what I saw was real or not.

Sam's POV

Me scarlet and Melody all ran over to where Cameron blew up, we had to be sure...

"Cameron?" I yelled.

No response.

"Cameron.. Please don't be dead..."

Sky's POV

I clutched my fists as I watched them search for Cameron.

'Why... god dang it...' I thought.

I looked over at Eric enderman hybrid until I winded my eyes, he was one of the people who Dorothy sent out to capture humans and bring them here...

Why is he here?

I walked over to him and he looked up at me, his eyes were red like he's been crying.

"Your... Eric? Right?" I asked.

He nodded slowly, "w-why?"

I shook my head, "just curious..."

Scarlet's POV

I searched through the rubble until I saw a green fabric, part of Cameron's hoodie...

I took the piece out and stared at it.

"Cameron... Why?" I mumbled, hugging the fabric.

Sam walked over to me and put a hand on my shoulder, "Scarlet, it's alright.. Cameron.. Well he... Died trying to save us..."

"I-I know... But why did he have to blow himself up?!" I sobbed.

Melody's POV

I looked.

And looked.

And then looked again.

No sign of Cameron...

I walked back to Sam and Melody and stared and the ground, shaking my head.

The all nodded sadly, and got up.

I saw that cat girl over by Eric and I walked over.

"Uh, can I ask who you are...?"

"Sky...." She started, "who are you?"

"I'm- uh.. Melody... And this is scarlet..." I said.

"Hi...." Scarlet said.

"We should probably go..." Eric said.

We all nodded except sky, she looked offended.

"NO! We still have to free everyone!" Sky yelled.

"Oh.. Yeah..."

After finding the lever and freeing everyone we all crowded around the entrance.

"Well... I think we should all part ways now," sky said.

We all looked at each other and then back at sky, "you can do your own thing... We're all sticking together..."

Sky shrugged and nodded.

"Oh my god!" I heard scarlet yell.

I followed her gaze to a see someone leaning against the building.

It was Cameron.
