Yourself and Joey had been dating for just over two years and had been living together for six months. In the beginning, you were unsure about dating Joey since you knew he was a bit of a serial dater and usually just slept with girls and never called them back. You eventually gave in and went on a date with Joey and you both fell hard for one another. He treated you perfectly and was a true gentleman and the group were impressed that he managed to settle down. Currently you were away on a works trip to Seattle where your companies headquarters were. It had been an eventful trip so far with the executives offering you a large promotion to the job you'd always dreamed of doing. You were over the moon until they informed you that you'd have to move to Seattle for the job. You were so grateful for the job offer but you knew that you couldn't leave New York because that was where Joey was and you knew he wouldn't move to Seattle. You graciously declined the job offer but they told you to take some time to think about it and get back to them in a weeks time. The trip ended early so instead of waiting until your flight which was the next day, you caught the next flight back to New York so that you could see Joey and talk to him about your promotion and see what he thinks about it. You hated being apart from Joey so you were excited to be back home with him in your cozy apartment. You dragged your bags up the stairs, really hating the fact that you and Joey had bought an apartment on the 8th floor. You opened up the door and was greeted with a sight that you really did not want to see. Joey was sat on the sofa with his arm around a girl. You stayed silent since there backs were facing you and you wanted to see if it would go any further between them. To your horror, it did. The girl leant up and pressed her lips to Joey's  and Joey kissed her back. "Well isn't this such a cute site," you spat, dropping your bag on the floor.
Joey shot up from the couch, pushing the girl away from him. When you saw the girls face you quickly recognised her as one of Joey's costars. "Jenny, let me explain," Joey said, walking towards you.
"No need to explain Joey, actions speak louder than words," you hissed.
You shoved past him and stormed into your shared bedroom. You pulled the suitcase out from under the bed and began throwing your things into it. You were trying to be strong and not cry but you couldn't hold back the few stray tears that were rolling down your face. "Jenny, stop please," Joey begged.
As you put stuff in the suitcase he took it out and put it on the bed. He kept on doing this, desperate to get you to talk to him. "Joey stop it, get away from me," you snarled.
He stood aside whilst you threw all of your stuff in your suitcase. You zipped it up and stood it up on the floor. You looked over at Joey who was looking at you with sad eyes. "You have no right to be upset. You're a cheater. I can't believe you'd do this to me after two years together, you disgust me," you spat.
You headed out of the bedroom to the living where the girl was still sat on the sofa, checking her makeup in a compact mirror. "What the hell are you still doing here? Get the hell out," you yelled.
The girl's eyes widened and she scuttled out of the apartment quicker than you'd seen anyone move. "Jenny, please..." Joey said placing a hand on your shoulder.
"Get off of me, don't you dare touch me," you shouted, slapping his hand off of you.
You picked up the bag that you had dropped on the floor earlier and placed it on top of the suitcase. "Just tell me one thing," you said calmly," how long has this been going on for?"
"A couple of weeks, I never meant for it to happen Jenny you have to believe me," Joey responded.
"It's funny, I came here to tell you that I'd turned down a huge promotion that would have meant I'd have to move to Seattle so that I could be with you but now I'm going to take it so I can get the hell away from you," you snarled before leaving the apartment you called home for good.
Joey watched you walk out, shocked that he had just lost the love of his life for good. He knew he'd royally messed up and he had no idea why he had been so stupid but what he did know was that he felt empty and lost without her but it was all his fault. The next day you accepted the job in Seattle and a week later you got on a plane and left your New York life behind. Joey had called you many times but as soon as you got to Seattle you got a new phone and removed him completely from your life.
