(For the purpose of this imagine, Joey and Chandler's apartment has 3 bedrooms)

Janice's annoying laugh rang through the apartment and you rolled your eyes at the loudness of the sound. Once again, she was over at the apartment that you shared with Joey and Chandler. You had lived with the boys for over a year and had become fast friends with the group. After a few months you found yourself falling for Chandler so when Janice came on the scene you were devastated. The rest of the group were aware of your feelings and they felt sorry for you every time you had to see Chandler and Janice all loved up. She was constantly over at the apartment and you were finding it harder and harder to cope with being there when she was. After a good ten minutes of listening to her horrifically high pitched laugh, you got up and walked into the living room/kitchen area where Chandler and Janice were. "Hi Darci, how are you?" Janice greeted.
"I'm great thank you, how about yourself?" You responded, a fake smile plastered on your face.
"I'm good thank you, me and Chandler were going to order some takeout, do you want us to get you some and you can stay and eat with us?" She asked.
A night in with Chandler and Janice sounded awful and it wasn't something you wanted to endure.  "Thanks for the offer but I think I'm gonna go to Rachel and Monica's," you responded.
With that, you left the apartment and headed over to the girls' apartment. You walked in and slammed the door behind you catching the attention of Monica and Rachel. "I cannot take her laugh and high pitchy nasally voice any more," you groaned leaning against the door.
"Neither can we, we can hear her from over here," Rachel said putting down her magazine.
"Seeing Chandler with another girl constantly can't be easy Darci, I feel so bad for you," Monica said," How about you stay here for a while, just so you aren't having to see them together all the time?"
You pondered the idea wondering if it would make the situation a little less painful. "That'd be great Mon, thank you," you replied, smiling softly at the girls.
"You can bunk with me, it'll be fun," Rachel grinned.
You spent the rest of the evening with Monica, Rachel and Phoebe, who had arrived later on, drinking wine and talking about everything and anything. The girls did everything they could to cheer you up but you still felt a little bit down. "I should head back to my place and let the guys know I'll be staying here for a while," you said standing up from your position on the floor.
You made your way across the hall and when you opened the door you were greeted with the glorious sight of Chandler and Janice kissing. Joey emerged from his room and saw you standing at the door, a mixture of sadness and disgust evident on your face. "Yo dude, this is a public space, kiss your girlfriend elsewhere," Joey snapped, also annoyed by the sight in front of him.
The couple pulled away from each other and mumbled apologies. You now knew staying at Monica and Rachel's for a while was a good idea because you knew you wouldn't be able to cope with being around Chandler and Janice all the time. "Guys I've decided to stay at the girls' apartment for a while," you announced.
"What!" The two boys exclaimed.
"The apartments feeling a little.... cramped at the moment, I just need a bit of space to breathe," you explained.
Joey immediately caught on to why you wanted to stay elsewhere for a little while but Chandler looked confused. "I don't understand what you mean," Chandler stated.
"I won't be staying there long, it's just a bigger apartment so I won't be confined in my room with nowhere else to go and sit and think," you replied hoping he'd catch on but I unfortunately he didn't.
"If that's what you really want to do then okay, but don't stay there too long, we'll miss having you around the apartment," Chandler said, a small smile appearing on his face.
You headed into your room and flopped on your bed. Joey came in shortly after you and lay down next to you. "You should just tell him the truth Darci, he'd be more considerate of your feelings at least," Joey said.
"I'm never telling him the truth, it would ruin our friendship," you mumbled.
*********************
You had been at the girls' apartment for over a week and you still had no idea how long you were going to stay there. Joey had been constantly trying to persuade you to come back to your shared apartment but you kept on telling him you weren't ready. You constantly avoided Chandler and Janice and according to Joey, Chandler had begun to realise that you were avoiding him. You hated not talking to Chandler but you knew it was what was best for you.  You were currently lay on the sofa watching some pointless TV show, hoping to distract yourself from missing Chandler. "Sounds like Joey and Chandler are having a bit of an argument over there," Rachel said as she walked into the apartment.
"Really? What about?" You asked.
"I don't know, I couldn't hear properly but it sounded heated," she explained.
Over at the boys' apartment, Chandler and Joey were arguing over the person that had caused you to leave the apartment. "Chan, you could do so much better than her, She is so annoying, I can't deal with her being here every single night," Joey snapped.
"And you think it's nice to hear you and your conquests every single night," Chandler retorted.
"At lease they aren't the reason that Darci decided to stay away from the apartment," Joey grumbled.
"What? Janice isn't the reason that Darci is staying with the girls," Chandler said.
"Of course it is! Are you actually that blind. The girl is in love with you and coming home to see you with another girl was killing her," Joey stated.
His eyes widened when he realised what he had said. "What did you just say?" Chandler asked.
"Nothing, nothing at all," Joey said quickly.
Chandler turned away from Joey and headed in the direction of Monica and Rachel's apartment. "Dude where are you going?" Joey questioned following behind him.
Chandler opened the door to the girls' apartment and walked over to where you were lay on the sofa. You watched him carefully, wondering what he was doing. "Is it true? Are you in love with me?" Chandler asked, taking you by surprise.
You stood up quickly and glared over at Joey who was stood in the doorway. "Joesph Frances Tribbiani, what have you done?" You hissed.
"I'm sorry Darci, it just slipped out," Joey apologised.
You turned back to Chandler who was still staring at you intently. "Yes it's true," you mumbled.
Everything was silent for a moment. No one knew what to do. Within in a split second, Chandler walked over to you and crashed his lips against yours. This took you by surprise and it took you a few seconds to respond. You melted into the kiss but pulled away when you remembered that Rachel and Joey were in the room and that he had a girlfriend. "What was that for?" You asked.
"Darci, I only got with Janice so I could get over you, I've been in love with you since the day I met you," Chandler confessed.
"Really?" You whispered.
"Really."
You leant up and pressed your lips to his once more, wrapping your arms around his neck. His arms slithered around your waist pulling you closer to his body. You both pulled away when you needed air, and rested your heads against one another's. "I don't think we should go any further until you've spoken to Janice, she might be annoying as hell but she's still your girlfriend," you said.
"Yeah I know, I'll speak to her tonight," Chandler responded.
The next day you moved back into your apartment and instead of spending your first night back in your own bed, you spent it in Chandler's. You woke up in the morning, wrapped tightly in his arms and to you, it was the best feeling in the world.
