You were currently sprawled out on your sofa waiting for Ross, your boyfriend of seven months, to come over. Things were going great between the two of you and you really enjoyed being with him. When you heard a knock at your front door you sprung up from the sofa. You swung open the door and was greeted by Ross smiling brightly at you holding a bouquet of flowers. "Hey hot stuff," you smirked, leaning up to peck his lips.
"Hot stuff? I could get used to greetings like that," he chuckled, handing you the flowers.
"You're too sweet Ross," you grinned, sniffing the beautiful flowers.
You walked into the kitchen and filled a vase with water for your flowers. Whilst you were arranging the flowers inside the vase, Ross wrapped his arms around you waist from behind and leant his head on your shoulder. He turned his head slightly and pressed a couple of light kisses to your neck. "Do I ever tell you how beautiful you are?" He mumbled, hugging you closer to his chest.
You spun round in his arms and raised your eyebrows. "What's with you today? You've bought me flowers and are being extremely affectionate?" You question.
"Can't I just show my girl that I love her?" He asked, leaning in for a kiss.
You put your hand in front of his face preventing him from doing so which made him frown. "As much as I love you being so sweet, you're up to something," you said," so come on Ross, spill."
"Well, I was thinking that maybe you could come and meet my friends today," he responded nervously.
Previously, anytime he had asked you to come and meet his friends you have said no. Not because you didn't want anything to do with his friends but because you were scared that they would hate you and you didn't want to loose what you had with Ross. "I don't know Ross," you mumbled, detaching yourself from him.
"Baby come on, I've met your friends," Ross pleaded," you've already met my sister and the others aren't as scary as her."
His comment made you laugh lightly making him smile. "But one of them is your ex girlfriend, she'll hate me," you grumbled.
"She won't hate you, none of them will hate you," he replied, placing his hands on your shoulders," they'll love you nearly as much as I do."
You were still unsure about meeting them. You knew how close they all were and how protective they were and you didn't want them to dislike you and cause a rift between you and Ross. "Please A'Leesha, I hate hiding the girl I love from them, please come with me to see them," he pleaded.
You let out a defeated sigh and nodded. A big smile broke out on Ross' face as he pulled you into a hug. "We'll leave in an hour, but first I want some alone time with you," he smirked, connecting his lips with yours, making all you nerves feel non-existent.

You slowly walked up the stairs to Monica and Chandler's apartment, your nerves reaching an all time high. "Babe you're shaking? Are you okay?" He asked when you stopped outside the apartment door.
"Yeah I'm okay, just a little bit nervous," you answered honestly.
"They'll love you, don't worry," he responded, pressing a sweet kiss to your temple.
He pushed open the door and you were both greeted with a wave of cheery hellos. "Hi A'Leesha, it's so good to see you again," Monica greeted, pulling you into a right hug.
"Hi Monica, it's nice to see you too," you replied.
"Babe these are my friends, Chandler, Joey, Phoebe and Rachel," Ross introduced," guys this is my girlfriend A'Leesha."
"Hi, it's really great to meet you all. I've heard so much about you," you said, smiling nervously.
"Same here, he never stops talking about you, I mean he talks about you that much that I feel like I've known you for a lifetime," Phoebe rambled before pulling you into a hug.
"Well how about we order some pizza and watch a film," Monica suggested.
Everyone nodded in agreement and then found somewhere to sit around the coffee table. There wasn't enough room for you to have your own seat so you went to sit on the floor but Ross pulled you on to his lap and wrapped an arm around your waist and rested a hand on your thigh. "You comfy?" He asked.
"Yeah, are you sure you're okay with me sitting on your lap?" You responded.
"Of course I'm fine with it," he grinned, pecking your lips.
You began to feel quite awkward sitting on your boyfriends lap in front of his friends. You didn't know why you felt awkward but it gave you an uneasy feeling. You could see Rachel looking at you curiously from the arm chair which made you quite self-conscious. "I have to go and pick up the pizzas 'cause all the delivery guys are sick," Monica groaned.
"I'll can come with you if you like," you offered.
"That'd be great, thank you," Monica grinned.
"Ooo, me and Rach will come as well, we can have a girls trip out," Phoebe said excitedly.
"Phoebs, the pizza place is three blocks away, it's hardly a girls trip," Monica chuckled.
"Well it'll still be fun," Phoebe said, pulling on her coat.
You bid goodbye to the boys, Ross kissing your sweetly before you left. You were quite nervous to be around Rachel as you got the impression that she didn't want you there but you still plastered a smile on your face and chatted away happily with the girls. Whilst you were waiting for the pizzas, Phoebe and Monica went to the toilet leaving you alone with Rachel. "I just want to clear something up, I don't hate you or dislike you and I know that you think I do because I can tell how uncomfortable you are to be around me but I'm honestly really happy for you and Ross but it's always hard seeing someone you were with with someone else, I'm sure you get that," Rachel said.
"I get it, and I'm sorry I've been so awkward, I've just been really nervous to meet everyone, especially you," you replied.
"Well I think me and you are going to become good friends," Rachel grinned.
Moments later, Phoebe and Monica reappeared so you went to collect your pizzas and then headed back to the apartment. "It's going to be so good having another girl around here, we finally have an even number again since Mike unbalanced the group," Monica said happily.
"Who's Mike?" You asked.
"He's my boyfriend," Phoebe answered.
"I went to Law school with a Mike, I only remember him because he spilt coffee over our professor and then tried to clean it off of her chest area, our teacher was mortified but it was a very hilarious sight," you giggled.
The girls all let out a laugh which made you smile. It was so easy to talk to them and they all had great senses of humour which made you certain that you'd easily get along with them. "My Mike is actually a lawyer, you might know him, Mike Hannigan," Phoebe replied.
"Oh my god, that's the Mike from my story," you said, letting out a laugh.
"No way," Phoebe giggled," you're gonna have to fill me in on what Mike was like."
You continued to tell Phoebe what you knew about Mike from Law school all the way back up to the apartment and you had the girls in fits of laughter with your stories. When you got back to the apartment, everyone sat around the kitchen table so they could dig into the pizza. Ross sat next to you and placed his arm on the back of your chair. "You and the girls seem to be getting on well, especially you and Rachel," Ross whispered.
"Yeah, they're really nice, me and Rachel cleared any awkwardness so it's all good," you replied.
Ross pressed a quick kiss to your cheek and then dug into his pizza. You found it easy to fall into conversation with everyone and Ross was extremely grateful to have such a great group of friends. "A'Leesha,  will you please tell Joey that I'm funnier than him?" Chandler huffed.
"Sorry boys but I'm funnier than the both of you combined," you smirked causing everyone to snigger.
"I have to back her up there, she's hilarious," Monica chuckled.
"No one is funnier than me," Chandler huffed.
"Sorry to take your title Chandler but no one will ever be as funny as me, don't worry, you can keep the dorky title all to yourself," you said whilst winking at Chandler.
Everyone burst out laughing even Chandler. "I like her, where did you find her, I want one," Joey chuckled.
You were so pleased that you were moulding into the group perfectly fine and the nerves that were drowning you earlier were somewhat gone. Everyone was so welcoming and it was nice to be surrounded by people who understood your sense of humour. Once you had all finished your pizza, you retired to the sofa to watch a film. Since Joey decided to sit on the floor with Phoebe, you sat next to Ross and curled into his side. His arm was tightly wrapped around your shoulder and you placed on of your hands on his chest, your head resting just above it. "I'm glad I came today," you mumbled.
"Me too, I told you they'd love you," Ross grinned, pressing a kiss to the top of your head.
"I love you," you said.
"I love you too A'Leesha, more than you could even know," he responded before capturing your lips in his.
For a moment you forgot that everyone else was there but you were quickly reminded when a pillow hit you on the head. "Quit the PDA love birds, I can't hear the film," Joey scolded, making you giggle.
You leant you head on Ross' chest, happy and content. You were so glad that you fit into the group and you were so glad that they were all so sweet and welcoming. Ross was overjoyed by the fact that his friends loved you nearly as much as he did.
