Even though you were mentally and physically exhausted, you couldn't sleep at all.
Shayne stayed, he called some of the squad over to hang out and play some bored games with.
You had fun, but it was an empty fun.
You relished their company more than those of your smosh games friends, they were closer to Damien then they were to you.
However Smosh squad was closer to Shayne then they were to you.
You wondered where that put you, you knew that the only person you were close to was Wes. Wes was closer to you than to anybody else.
You didn't really want him there though, you just wanted a change of pace from these past few weeks.

"Heheheh, I'm playing this card." Olivia said, schrunching up her face and making an odd voice. Placing down the cards against humanity card on the pile of chosen cards.
You all laughed.
Yours wasn't really there.
Your voice didn't feel like it was yours, were you really laughing?
You made eye contact with Shayne, Tia broke up with him a moment after Damien and you broke up.
"(Y/n) are you gonna play a card?" Keith laughed.
"Yeah, just looking." You managed a smile.
The squad quieted a bit and you bit your tongue.
"After this we should totally get some ice-cream!" Courtney  grinned, picking up the cards after you placed yours down and recovering the laughter after the silence you caused.
"I think I'm okay." Shayne said, shaking his head.
"ugh I'm going to be exhausted after this, but thanks Court." You held up your hand and looked at the new card that you just drew.

You snorted at the text that read "Bees?"

Noah mocked your snort, you papped him on the arm.
"Hey!" He laughed
"C'mon man, you know I can't help it."
"All those coke lines Makin you snort?" He winked, and then broke into his slap-knees laughter at his "roast".
The squad ooo'd and you just rolled your eyes.

"What does grandma find disturbing yet oodly charming?" Courtney read.
"Nicholas Cage." Courtney laughed.
"Nicholas Cage?!" Shayne yelled, covering his face with his hands and laughing.
The game continued, as did your heart ache. Olivia ended up winning every card game, and Shayne scream laughed about it. You knew it was all acting in the laugh.

Both break ups weighed heavily on your heart, if you had stayed a moment longer all of this would've been avoided.
But everybody except for Shayne was at fault you supposed.
Life was full of Greys and beiges, it was not black and white.
You and Damien had texted for a bit, there was some irrational thoughts but you both decided a break up was best to figure everything out . Afterwards, you both agreed, you could see if you felt the same about each other.
Both of you admitted  you and Damien could've handled the situation better.
Damien apologized, and you did too.

You rolled over, you were still angry despite the mutual agreement.
You tossed again, the pit of uncomfortable feelings grew into a rock, moreso a void, in your stomach.
You got out of bed and walked to the guest room, where Shayne was supposed to be  sleeping.
You paused at the door, the light was still on.
The last time you were in that room, Damien was standing in the doorframe sopping wet and very attractive.
You knocked gently on the door.
"Come in." You heard softly from behind the door.
You opened the door and walked in, Shayne was laying in  bed, same pajamas Damien wore.

You tried to shake Damien from your head.
You layed down beside him.
You didn't speak, out of the corner of your eye you saw him set down his phone and look at you.

"What's up?" he asked, turning to face you.
"Couldn't sleep, I'm too angry and scared and upset and guilty." You drew in a breath. You turned and faced him.
He rested a hand on your cheek for a bit, then drew it back.
Your heart sped up a bit.
You two were maybe a little too close, but you were too angry at the world to care.
" Guilty? " He asked.
" If I hadn't been so nosy I would've stayed and talked with you in that hospital room for a bit longer, I wouldn't have walked into that conversation, none of this would've happened." You explained.
He just shook his head, and moved a bit closer.
"Its not your fault." Shayne reassured.
"It's not anybody's fault," You shifted a bit closer too, "that doesn't  stop the guilt."
"What will?" He asked as you propped yourself up with an elbow, meeting his beautiful blue eyes.
"I have a few ideas." He said, you couldn't tell if he was joking.
"I have a strong idea, but it would only work for the night." You murmered, you saw his eyes flick to your lips.
"What is it?" He asked as you moved even closer.
"We're both thinking it." You said.
"You think what we're both thinking will stop the guilt eventually, or make it stronger?" He asked.
"I think we're both too angry, and you're too injured to do what we're both angry enough to do." You said, leaning up and over his face.
"Is that going to stop us?" He asked, breathily.
"We're both single, angry, and sad," you said, getting closer to his face "no." You answered.
"Then kiss me and let's see where this goes." He inticed, grabbing your waist and moving you so that you were over him.
You connected your lips to his. Tongue soon slipping in.
Shayne's arm wrapped around your waist, the other hand cupped your face. You found yourself fumbling to take off his shirt.
