You didn't even bother kicking off your shoes as you collapsed onto your couch.
Wes would handle the cops and the questioning and you already had a restraining order on Brad in the past, he'd be going to jail for a little bit with added charges and now you had to think...
"(Y/N).. I messed up and I wanted to make it up to you, I know it's not the most opportune time to ask but would you want to be my date to my friends wedding?"
Selfish...
A selfish thing to ask, especially with what happened.
But you had agreed, stupidly.
Damien sat on the couch a moment later.
" Are you okay? "
" I don't know Damien, I don't know. I'm tired. "
" oh.. Uh.. Want me to make you (your favorite drink)"
"Yes." You said sighing, and sparing a glance at him.
He gave you a small smile back, and went to the kitchen. You were thankful, but still hurting a bit.
Damiens love hurt, and your love hurt Shayne.
So didn't you deserve each other?
You sighed, pushing strands of hair out of your face and finally kicking off your shoes, turning around, and grabbing the remote to the TV.
Damien walked over as you turned it on, and handed you your drink.
You took a sip and let the flavor wash over you.
"thank you, " you said after you swallowed your sip.
"what are we watching?" Damien asked, curiously.
You smirked "Ah just my favorite movie... Twilight." you winked
He groaned, and you put it on anyways just to torture him.
In ten days time you two would be attending a wedding, together, but for now...
"Are you done with Tia?" You asked and took a sip of your drink, moving a white fuzzy blanket onto your lap.
He took in a long breath and fidgeted with his hands, finally meeting your eyes "Yes."
You blinked, and he repeated himself "Yes, I'm done with Tia."
"Okay." You said, tearing your gaze away from him.
"Okay..." He said, but you felt his eyes linger on you, on your face that concentrated a little too hard on the bad acting on the TV.
"(Y/n)..." He said softly.
So softly, in fact, you were very perfectly allowed to pretend you didn't hear it as your heart ached.
He was done with her,
And you were going to trust him again.
And you were going to buy a dress to wear to a wedding.
And you were going to be okay with this.
