"Shayne that's so sweet!" You cried out, putting your hands over your heart.

Shayne blushed slightly and put his hand on his neck, what a cliche move. Nevertheless you swooned.

You stated at the boque of your favorite flower he had in his hand, along with a few other complimentary flowers. He just shrugged and handed it to you.

"I figured you were probably still feeling bad about everything so... I figured I'd cheer you up." He said shyly.

You took the flowers in your hand and smiled at him.

"Shayne thank you." You said, stepping out and giving him a big hug.
Ad you were pulling away something stopped you a bit before the entire embrace broke, you were grinning big time and your cheeks felt warm. Shayne had his hands on your hips and your hands were on his shoulders. He was close. Close enough to lean forwards and...

"You did also say this was a date, right?" He asked worriedly.

You laughed "Yes Shayne, this is a date." you confirmed and you saw the relief flood his eyes.

"Oh thank God, I was almost worried that I over dressed!" He winked.

You turned your eyes down to his very unsightly socks.

"It's mondaayyyy." He said, cracking himself up. You stared at his blue socks with banana patterns and looked him dead in the eye, trying very hard not to crack a smile.
"Shayne topp I will put this to a shayne stopp." you said as angrily as you could muster.

"Uh ohh," He said laughing still, "You sound like my comments section."

You burst out laughing, you two sounded like you were straight out of the worlds shittiest fanfiction. God, yet again you reminded yourself how much you hated those things. They got you into this mess didn't they? Or maybe they just seemed to have been the pinnical of your long year. Either way, reading that fanfiction with the one and only Damien Haas was the start of something messy.
Then again, you did well in mess.

You just shook your head at him and walked inside, he followed soon behind as you walked into your kitchen and rummaged through your cabinets to find something to put the flowers in.
"So what do you want to do?" You asked, pulling out a glass vase your mom gave you when you moved as a house warming gift. You brushed the dust off of it and filled it with water.

"Oh, hmm. I'm not really good at that part." He said truthfully, shrugging.

You placed the flowers in the vase and set it up onto the counter.
You jumped up and sat on the counter next to it, careful not to knock it over.
"Well then Mr. Comedical it's Monday genius, entertain me." You said, staring at him.

"I... Uh.." He said awkwardly looking away.

You took a moment to study him, tracing him with your eyes, the way he stood, his hands twisting together, the way his hair sweeped to the side glowing golden in the setting sunlight, his eyes turning upwards to meet yours, stunning blue against the warm gold of the room. You felt the same golden warmth stur within you as you stared at him. You smiled, ever softly at him.

He smiled back, lightly, barely, quietly.

The world seemed quiet, yet deafening.

You swore you heard both of your hearts beat as the universe itself seemed to stand still.

You wondered what he thought...

Shayne
The way she smiled... At me. Her eyes lit up, she was almost a silhouette. Yet he could still see her almost perfectly. The way the light shone through her hair, around her figure, lighting up the entire room and bathing everything in a golden light. He felt a smile on his lips, small but unintentional. Her eyes met his and for a moment he swore his heart swelled. His mind ached with pain wanting to reach out, touch her, hold her in his arms, and just stay there forever. Yet he also wanted to stay here forever, staring, caught in this perfect moment so serene that the world itself did not wish to interupt.

It was sudden, the way he moved towards her. It was slow, but sudden. And then he was taking her hand and gently pulling her off the counter he heard her breath catch and he wondered just how long he was waiting for that moment. The moment in which she fell, finally, entirely for him. He thought of how selfish that was, how much he wanted her how much he always had. How jealous he was when Damien had her, and how much that had hurt him.

He remembered the way he began to heal, accept himself, move on.

How that lead here, to her, staring up at him with those eyes that had always captivated him.

Her hand was still in his, and he smiled.
"Care to dance very badly around your kitchen?" he asked, giving a wide goofy smile.
