Who Knew (Austin Mahone Fan Fiction)

Chapter 2

I took a seat in the plane beside a window. My mom was still stuffing the carry-ons in the compartment above us. I wanted to keep my bag near me so I put it under my seat. I pulled my iPod from my pocket and played Jetlag by Simple Plan.

I checked the time on my iPod. 6:53 am. Our flight was supposed to leave at 7:00. We were almost late because I couldn't find the shoes I was supposed to wear. Turns out I put them under my bed but I had forgotten.

My mom took her seat beside me. "Ok," she said, "I'm really tired, so I'll just sleep first. There's wifi on this plane so you can use the internet if you want." 

"Oh. Thanks for telling me," I said.

She smiled and closed her eyes. I turned my head to look out the window. The sun was rising and sent bright red and yellow across the dark purple sky. I got my phone from my bag and unlocked it. I tapped the camera application and took a picture of the sunrise. I went on Instagram and edited the picture and typed in the caption, On the plane to San Antonio and this sunrise is AMAZING. I pressed send and placed my phone on my lap.

 A voice came from the speakers telling us we were leaving in 5 minutes. I decided to send Toni a text before the plane left. I went to my messages and then to my conversation with Toni. Her last text was something about Raymond.  

Toni's had the biggest crush on this guy named Raymond. He lives a few houses away from her and he's a year older than us. She started liking him when she saw him walking to his friend's house. We were sitting outside on her lawn when he walked by. Toni looked at him and said he was one of the cutest guys she'd ever seen. A week after we had first seen him, we'd figured out where he lived. We didn't stalk him or anything, we just followed him from a distance where he couldn't see us, until we found out more about him.

Raymond's talked to Toni a bunch of times already. Sometimes when Toni's lucky, he walks by while she's outside of her house. She doesn't want him to know that she likes him, she made me swear I'd never tell him, which I wouldn't. I mean, come on, right? So, I guess I'll just have to wait and see what happens with them.

I sent Toni a text and she replied within 2 minutes.

Me- Hey. You're probably not awake yet but.. Ya. Hi. 

Toni- I'm awake now. And hello. 

Me- Lol sorry for waking you. How was your sleep?  

Toni- In a way, suckish. Couldn't sleep and stuff. R u on the plane already?? 

Me- Yaaaa! Why couldn't you sleep? 

Toni- Ehhh.. Reasons. What time do you take off?  

Me- Supposedly 7. 

Toni- It's already 6:58..  

Me- Ya I know. Gonna leave in awhile.

Right when I sent the last text, a voice came from the speakers saying we were taking-off in 2 minutes and it was requested for us to turn off our phones.

Me- There. We're gonna takeoff already. Text you when I get to SA. 

Toni- Ok. Have a safe flight! Miss you already!! Love u bby

Me- Thanks!! Miss ya too!!!! Love u!!

I clicked the home button and went on twitter. I typed in a new tweet, On the plane to SA. Gonna miss you Nashville.. I sent it and turned off my phone.

I felt sleepy as I leaned back in my seat. I could feel my eyes getting heavy as they closed.
