A/N:

OMFG. I wanted to say thank you for over 500 reads!!

I looked over at my desk where my Christmas gift was sitting. My mom and dad got me an Instax. I literally freaked out when I opened it yesterday. My mom watched across me as I opened it while my dad watched from our Skype call. He wasn't able to fly back for Christmas since all the flights were booked. He was in Australia for work, he actually goes to a lot of places for work. Well, since he was there, he just stayed with some relatives for Christmas. Most of the time though, he's in the Philippines but sometimes he's required to go to other places.

The Instax was on my desk beside the boxes of- what do you call it? Film? I don't know. Whatever. That thing that gets printed out when you take a photo. There. Can't wait to use this when I'm with Kathy and next time I see Toni. I can even use it if I see Jessica again.

Jessica's our other friend from Nashville, but we're not as close as me and Toni. Speaking of Jessica, I haven't talked to her in awhile. Knowing her, she's the always-on-twitter type.

I went online and typed in a tweet, Late but, Merry Christmas people! I sent it and checked my mentions. It was filled with some tweets from my friends in Nashville, most were how-are-you's, 'how's San Antonio' and shiz like that. I replied, saying San Antonio was great and I was doing fine, though I missed Nashville.

I tapped the new tweet button. I mentioned Jessica and typed my message in. Hey Jess!! How're ya'll doing there? Jessica replied after a few seconds. Told you she's always online. Oh my God!!! Hey u! Haven't talked to u in 4ever!

We just tweeted each other for a while. We talked about what was happening with us. I told her about San Antonio, Kathy, our house, everything. Except for Austin. What? I don't want people knowing about it, and besides, Jessica doesn't even like him, as far as I know. I asked about Logan, her boyfriend. She told me they were still doing good. After about 40 minutes, I told her I had to go, so we said bye, and we agreed to talk again next time.

When we were done, I decided to go take a shower. After my shower, I put on some faded denim shorts and a red hoodie over a gray T-shirt advertising some random brand. I blow-dried my hair and brushed through it, while looking at the mirror. Ugh, the red in my hair's fading already. I'll just color it again tomorrow.

Once I finished all of that, I walked downstairs. My mom was in the living room watching the news. I walked past the living room, into the kitchen and greeted her. "Morning Mom."

"Goodmorning, sweetie. You going to eat breakfast?"

"Ya, mom," I called from the kitchen, taking a banana on the table. I came back in the living room and sat beside my mom.

"Have you met the neighbors yet, honey?"

"Um... Not exactly..." I haven't actually told her about Austin. Not like it's important or anything...

"Wait, why are you asking?" I said, peeling the banana.

"I was able to meet our neighbor beside us and the one across the street."

"What? When?"

"Yesterday, when I went to get something in my car and when the other day. I forgot to tell you though."

"Oh. So, who lives beside us?" I asked, taking a bite.

"An old couple but they're usually in Boston. They only come to Texas during the holidays."

"And, across us?" I said, slowly, not allowing my eyes to meet hers.

"I only met one of them, but they're a whole family, so I've heard."
