Kathy's POV:

It was 2:28 am. Nicole was in the bathroom changing to her pajamas. I typed in Little London Girl by Greyson Chance. The videos appeared in order. I clicked the second video. It began to load when Nicole stepped out.

Her hair was in a loose braid going off to the side. Nicole was wearing an oversized, black Maroon 5 t-shirt and purple pajama bottoms. She shoved her clothes back in her bag and the song began playing. I love this song...

Nicole sat beside me on the floor. I was humming to the song. I looked at Nicole. She was oddly silent ,and she was chewing her lip.

I turned to her and asked, "What's wrong?"

"Huh? Oh, nothing. Just thinking about something."

"Like what? Austin?"

She raised her eyebrows. "What? No. Why would you say that?"

Please. She likes Austin. Even if she won't admit it, she probably likes him. If you asked me, ok, I'm not 100% sure, but I think she likes him. At first it was just teasing, then she told me about what happened with her and Austin and the basketball game and the putting his arm around her and stuff. She seems to react to it so violently whenever Austin is brought up. That's one of the signs you like someone: Denial.

What? I read a lot of magazines.

Anyways, even Alex asked Nicole if she was dating Austin. I mean, come on? Alex was probably kidding but he wouldn't have said that unless he knew Austin liked Nicole.

This seriously makes so much sense. Why won't Nicole believe me?

"You seem... Caught up. Like ever since yesterday, when we saw Austin and Alex, you've been quieter." I looked up from my screen.

"Well.... I don't know. Can we just not mention anything about him? I don't like him. Please don't say anything about him unless it's that important or unless I bring it up."

"Fine, but when you come to your senses and admit that you like him, don't forget that I called it first."

"Sure," she said, sarcastically. Nicole looked over the room as the song ended. I rolled the mouse over to the suggested videos on the side. I clicked on Waiting Outside the Lines.

Nicole looked back at me. "Hey, if you changed already, that means you probably took your contacts out!" She ran to me and stared at my eyes.

I pushed her a bit back. "Dude, too close. Um... I'm still wearing my contacts."

"Hah. Ya, right."

"Seriously, I am!"

"No, when you sleep you're supposed to remove them, so you already changed, meaning you already took off your contacts," she said, crossing her arms.

"Ya, but that's when I sleep. I'm not sleeping yet."

"When do you take them off, then?"

"When I'm sure I'm about to go to sleep."

"Fine... I'll check your eyes tomorrow morning."

I looked at her. "Ok?"

She walked back to my desk. Nicole was looking through my books. "How come," she began, "your eyes are almost never blue?"

My eyes widened and I tried to push that thought away. "Um..."

"Your eyes are seldom blue, wait, that means your eyes are blue!"

I blinked back and forth, my brown contacts moving in my eyes. Think fast, Kathy. "Um... Actually I wear blue contacts sometimes."

Nicole turned and looked in my direction. "Really, now?"
