logan sighed in annoyance and walked away from virgil's room, heading downstairs to the dining room while combing his hair into a neat style.

later then, he placed his comb in his pocket before sitting down at the dining table.
he took the nearby crofters jam and bread, slicing the said bread with a knife neatly before spreading the jam on one of the slices and putting another of he slices on top of it, completing the sandwich. he seemed satisfied when he finished eating it.

just after he finished, roman and virgil came downstairs and prepared their breakfast as well. the three were lucky that it isn't a school day, or else they would have been late.

"hey logan, are you gonna come with us to the town library? we are gonna borrow some books there." roman asked logan, who looked a tad bit surprised.

"huh, i never took you as a person who'd actually read a book but, yes. i am going." logan replied. roman simply rolled his eyes at the remark while virgil suppressed a laugh before going to the living room with a plate of pancakes and a fork.

roman later followed with a plate of chocolate sky flakes crackers.

after breakfast, the three started preparing on going to the library, with roman being the last to get dressed up and ready.

the three then went out of the house and walked to the town's library. it was a nice and peaceful place where students study when it is not a school day and where kids read tons of nice stories. occasionally there were teen girls who would go to the manga section and couples who would screw around at the erotic novel section.

the place was like a park, but full of books.

roman and virgil began searching books about designs once they got to the place, while logan simply wandered, hoping to find a book that would catch his attention and interest.

soon, he came upon an area full of children gathered up around a teenage-looking boy with a blue long sleeve turtleneck and brown pants. he also wore black shoes, a grey scarf, and black glasses identical to his own. the children were paying attention to the white board the boy wrote on.

at first, logan thought that he was too far that he cannot hear what the boy was saying, but when he got a bit closer, he realized the boy wasn't talking at all. he was communicating with the kids using the whiteboard.

soon, the boy noticed logan and seemingly dismissed the children, who all then left the area and scattered about in the library.

the boy then looked at logan for a bit before making a surprised and excited expression. almost immediately, he got off the bean bag he sat on and threw himself at logan, hugging him. stunned, logan didn't know what to say.

the boy then made an expression of realization before pulling away from the hug and taking out a post it note and a pen. On the note, he hastily wrote something and then showed it at logan.

"logan! it's been so long! it's me, patton! remember me from our old elementary school?" it said.

logan adjusted his glasses for a second before making a surprised expression. "yes, i do remember you."

he suppressed a smile.
