amidst the peaceful silence in the park, a shadow lingered and watched with an upset expression. his eyes followed the two childhood friends everywhere they went, thoughts of contempt and jealousy forming in his mind.

"you do really have to take everything, don't you?" he silently sneered, his eyes now focused on the scarf-wearing mute, glaring at him.

his hateful expression at the mute brunette softened as soon as he saw a smile creep on the face of the mute's companion. in his cold heart, he felt what could be described as a flame made by a spark.

the shadow sighed before slithering back to the dark abyss. "but atleast you make him happy... which makes me happier like you.."

an hour or two later of walking about the flowery area of the park, logan and patton once again headed back to where virgil and roman are.

though this time, most probably where they are now.

after their own walk, roman led virgil to the special tree he talked about with him at school, the sun nearly setting. surprisingly for virgil, it seemed like his decision to see the tree wasn't wasted.

like as roman guaranteed, the tree looked magnificent.

the big tree had a nice transition of shining greens from it's leaves with a tinge of blueness like as if it was a watercolor painting. the bark was slightly smooth with a not too dark and not too light color.

it had a quaint, wooden two-seater swing hung on one of it's thick branches with a strong, dark colored rope.

virgil blinked a couple of times at the grand sight, amazed by it. roman took notice of this and smirked with satisfaction.

"like it?" roman inquired the emo teen, who slowly looked from down to up at the tree in awe. "hell yea it is." virgil responded, his thinking clouded by the tree's appearance.

roman smiled and took virgil's hand, bringing them to the highest branch of the tree. "woah-!"
