ANGRY AND DEFEATED, I follow Aang back to the village. Katara sits worried at the gate looking straight at us.

I squint my eyes in confusion. The old man comes up behind her, draping a blanket over her shoulders.

Still, she does not recognize that we're coming up in front of her. Maybe she's mad?

I look down at my hands. My eyes widen at the fact I can see through myself. The moonlight reflects off my skin in some surreal fashion.

"Katara, Katara we lost him." Neither she or the old man react to aangs voice. He looks over at me confused. He then turns back to Katara, "Katara... Hey." He waves his hands in front of her.

"She can't see us, Aang," I whisper.

"Why?"

"We're in the spirit world."

"But how did we get here?" I question, it makes no sense. Aang tries to smile, "we can figure this out, right? We're the bridge between both worlds."

I sigh, not really seeing how this will play out.

"Avatar Roku! We need to talk to you!" I shout. When there's no response Aang looks down in despair while I keep my eyes on the sky.

"Is that Sokka?" Aang points down the path. A blueish light shines, squinting harder he notices that's not Sokka. It what looks like a dragon.

"That's definitely not Sokka! Cmon saki!" Aang opens his glider, grabbing me to hold on. While trying to take off for flight he loses balance and drifts back to the ground.

I conclude the only explanation as to why he can't fly, "you can't bend in the spirit world." Aang looks down at his hands in disbelief.

"Well, how are we gonna get away from that!" Fear frames his young face. The dragon is weathered with radioactive blue fire, bearing down on us. We both cower under the beast once it lands.

"You wouldn't happen to know where Sokka is, would you?" My voice cracks. In response, the dragon bends it's head down, letting each of its whiskers touch our four heads. A vision crawls down both of our backs.

An old man riding on the back of the same dragon that landed inches away from us.  Fearless and capable, he strides through the air.

"You're avatar Roku's animal guide." I breathe. The blue intimidating eyes stare back at me. "We need to save our friend and we don't know how..." my voice trails off as the fiery orbs don't leave my blue-green eyes.

"Is there some way we can talk to Roku?" Aang finishes.

The dragon bends it's neck so we can sit. I finally bring myself to move, sitting behind Aang.
