THE BRIGHT FULL moon cast over the mountain ranges. Giving a beautiful glow over the village. Yet Aang and I frustratedly pull on Appa's reins to get him to move.

"Cmon Appa! Move!" I tug. Still no budge.

"Let's go, we have to get going!" Aang groans. Still, not an inch. Aang and I both stop fighting for Appa to fly and look at each other. He sighs in defeat.

"Look Appa, Sokka and Katara are not coming with us. Aang doesn't want to risk them getting hurt. And neither do I." My tone is now very soft and understanding. But, Appa still stays put. He's immovable.

Aang growls, "get your big butt off the ground and let's go!" He pulls so hard on the reins to where he loses grip and falls to the ground. Pulling my hands over my mouth so I don't laugh, I help him up.

"I think he's trying to tell you guys something." Sokka emerges from the village.

"Please don't go. The world really can't afford losing you two to the Fire Nation. And neither can I." Katara's piercing blue eyes connect with mine, sending a pang of guilt through my body.

"I'm not letting you guys put your lives at risk." My side is taken by Aang who steps beside me, "I'm sorry guys but we can't risk losing you to the fire nation either."

"No. You guys keep acting like you have to do this alone. But you don't, Sokka and I want to help. In fact, we are going to help." Katara places her hand on my shoulder, "I'm not letting you go. Not without me." I let my head hang low as I give in, "Fine."

"We got your back," Sokka smirks while slinging his arm around Aang. I nod with a smile. Momo leaps with joy, jumping onto Aangs arm. Appa groans, licking Sokka from head to toe.

"EW!" He screeches.

-

"It's going to be a long journey to the Crescent Island." The chief hands Aang and I a bag of supplies he generously gathered for us, "you'll have to fly fast to have any chance to make it before sundown. Good luck." Aang bows respectively, beginning a thank you, "thank you, for your-"

"Go!" We all jump at the Chief's outburst but quickly scramble onto Appa's saddle.

Within moments, were miles up into the air.

I accompany Katara in the back of the saddle.

"You know I was really worried about you." She mumbles as we watch the sun slowly rise. I take in a deep breath.

"Please don't worry about me, Katara."

"Why do you do that?" She shoots me an angry look.

"Do what?"

"Push me away. Ever since we've found out you're the avatar you've been nothing but distant. I miss the Saki that would smile at the little things and laugh with me, talk with me, be here with me. It's like you're not even here like you've disappeared beyond your own head." She rants in a breath. Sokka and Aang are steering Appa so they don't notice her sudden eruption.
