Taylor's POV.
I could feel my senses slowly coming back.
I could see darkness now, not just feel it.
There was pressure on my stomach.
I could almost hear voices. Not words or conversations.
Just murmurs.
I felt a weight on my hand. Not a cast or a brace or anything like that.
It was warm against mine and familiar as I've felt it thousands of times before.
I wondered how I was supposed to get out of this blackness around me.
But, there was thing reassuring me there was a way out.
And what was that?
Ed's hand on mine.
Ed's POV.
I sat at Taylor's bed watching.
Watching like I have been for the last two weeks.
Waiting, hoping, and grasping for Taylor to wake up.
She's been twitching lately. A sign as the doctors said that meant she was going to wake up soon, but how could I believe them? They said that she was waking up two weeks ago.
I watched Lily sitting on the bed by Taylor. She was brushing her fingers through Tay's hair. Something that always made her content.
I turned my head looking at all of the presents scattered around the room. Most were from upset fans praying everyday that their idol would soon wake up.
Lately I started going through my instagram mentions. Reading all the things people had to say about Taylor. They gave me hope and even if no one knew how upset I was, it was like they were reading my mind.
"Daddy?" Lily asked.
"Yes?" I questioned raising my eyebrows.
"Will Mommy still love me?" She said, the small words flowing from her mouth.
She stared at me with her ocean eyes.
"What?" I asked bewildered.
"When she wakes up will she still love me?" She said once more, fear clouding over her eyes.
I patted my lap waiting for her to come over.
She held out her arms and I slid her into my lap pulling her close.
"Lily, Mommy will love you forever. Why would you think she wouldn't?" I asked.
"What if she forgets me?" Lil' whispered just enough so I could hear.
"I promise you that your mother will never forget you. You're her baby, a part of her, she could never stop loving you or forget you." I said pulling her close to me and kissing her forehead.
"Can I ask you one more question?" She asked.
"Of course." I said.
I stared at her waiting for it to leave her mouth, how many more questions could I answer before I broke?
"What if Mommy never wakes up?" She asked with tears threating to spill over her eyes.
"Oh Lil'" I said wrapping my arms around her.
"I'm scared Daddy." She cried.
"Lily, I can't promise you when she will wake up or why we're here but I am promising you that she will wake up."
I wiped the tear streak off her cheeks and rubbed her back.
I saw something out of the corner of my eye and turned my head. Lily and I watched intently as we saw Taylor move.
"I told you she'd wake up." I whispered in Lily's ear.
The smile on her face was enough to make me fly. After watching her struggle without Taylor for two weeks this small smile was enough for me.
"Go get Grandma." I said sitting her down.
She nodded running off and I stood up, walking to Taylor.
With her hand in mine I waited. I waited for her to open her eyes I waited for her to see me. I waited to have my lips on hers, our bodies against each other.
I saw more movement and leaned forward.
Her lashes moved and I knew we were getting closer.
She started to open her eyes as I squeezed her hand.
"Ed." She breathed. I cried into her hair with my arms around her.
She's here. I heard her voice, the vloice I thought I would never hear again.
I heard tiny feet and turned to see Lily running.
I picked her up and watched as she screamed.
"Mommy!"
Looking between Taylor and Lily I watched as her eyes clouded over and Lily's biggest fear engulfed her.
Taylor spoke as I tried to calm Lily.
"Who are you?"
