Ed's pov.

"Yeah sure, I guess.'' I said not wanting to argue.

"Okay it's settled then. taylor will stay at your house." Andrea said walking away.

I thought about the idea of Taylor potentially being home with us again. Lily would be so happy. I would be happy. But it wouldn't work. Lily would need a constant reminder that Taylor doesn't remember her. Damn. I would probably need a reminder too.

''Daddy."

I felt a tugging on m leg.

"Can we go see mommy now?" Lily asked.

"Sure."

"Yay!" She smiled getting ready to run.

"Wait, Lil'." I said pulling her back. "This isn't like old times."

"What do you mean?" She asked frowning.

"Mommy doesn't remember you. That doesn't mean you can't talk to her anymore. It just means that if you call her mommy or run up to her expecting her to do what she used to do, she wont remember or respond. It'll confuse her."

I watched as tears streaked her face.

"I want  mommy back." She screamed.

"Shhh, Lily be quiet please."

I picked her up and she layed her head on my shoulder still crying.

I started walking towards Taylor's room. It might not've been the right time but Lily need to see her. Wether Taylor remembered her or not Lily needed her mother.

"Lil'." I said rubbing her back.

I waited for her response but got nothing. Moving her on my shoulder, I noticed she was asleep.

"Thanks Lil'." I said walking into Taylor's room.

She looked up at me. Stared at me with her blue eyes.

"Ed." She whispered.

I walked closer, Lily still in my arms.

''Is she okay?" She asked pointing to Lily.

"Yeah, she fell asleep." I said now infront of her,

"You can lay her down." She said patting the spot next to her on the bed, "If you want to."

I placed our sleeping daughter next to Taylor and watched as Tay ran her fingers down Lily's face.

"What happened?" She asked.

I looked at her confused.

"Nothing. Why?''

"Ed, she has tear streaks down her face. Is she okay?"

Taylor looked up at me with genuine concern. I stared at her face. Her delicate features.

I missed her.

"It was nothing really." I said.

"It's okay. You can tell me. I mean, I guess I am her mom."

I sighed.

"She was crying because of you."

Her face was full of her confusion. I could only imagine that thoughts running through her head.

"Me? Why?'

"You forgot her Taylor. Her own mother doesn't remember her that's why. The whole time on the way here all she talked about was you. She couldn't wait to be in your arms again." I said.

"Then why was she crying?" She asked her voiced raised a bit. She always did this when she was confused.

"Because I had to tell her that you wouldn't understand her! That you wouldn't talk to her like you used to! SIng to her like you used to! You wouldn't do any of that all because of me!" I yelled walking out of her room.

I heard Lily start whining, the noise woke her up. I wanted to go back and get her but I couldn't. I needed my time alone.
