Lily's p. o. v.

"I want this one!" I said gazing at the purple guitar. Taylor laughed and took it out of my arms.

"Else?" She asked looking around the store.

"Huh?" I asked confused.

"I'll get you another one if you would like." She said laughing.

"Oh, I don't think dad would like that." I said looking away.

"Lily, you're my daughter too. If you want two guitars I'll buy you two guitars."

"No, that's okay."

"Are you sure?" She asked tilting her head.

"Yeah." I said nodding. She smiled and took my hand before walking to the counter.

"Oh shoot, you need picks." She said looking around.

"I, uh, have my own>" I said lookg up at her.

"You do? Okay good." She said as she handed the cashier money. Handing me the guitar we walked out of the store.

"Do you want to go anywhere else? Is there anything you want to see?" She asked.

"No, I just want to spend time with you." I  said slightly turning my head.

"Okay. Why don't we go bond over starbucks?" She asked smiling. I nodded and we walked down the road to a small cafe.

"You can go sit down. I'll get the drinks. What do you like?" She asked.

"Um just get me what you're getting." I said sitting in the nearest booth.

"Okay," She said sitting down with the drinks. "let's talk about you.''

"Me?"

"Yes you! All we've talked about is me!"

"There's not really anything special to say about me." I said taking a sip of my drink. I reached up to move the hair out of my face and my jacket sleeve moved. Before I could pull it down Taylor gasped. She got out of her side of the booth and came to mine.

"Lily." She said in a whisper as she grabbed my wrist. I looked at her with guilt as she ran her fingers over the small cuts.

"Why?" She said looking at me.

"It's not that big of a deal." I said pulling my sleeve down.

"Obvioulsy it is to you if it made you do that.'' She said looking at me now.

"It's from the girls at school. It's from what they said to me. What they called me and..." I trailed off not wanting to go further.

"And what?" Taylor asked me running her fingers through her hair.

"And not having a mom." I said regretting it. i watched as her eyes clouded over with tears and she looked away.

"But it's okay. I have you now." I said. I reached out my hand to her but pulled it away.

Why did you say it Lily? Why? The day was going great until you said something.

"I'm sorry mom." I said crying. She turned and looked at me.

''No." She said taking me in her arms. "No Lily, this is my fault. I'm sorry. I'm sorry I left. I'm sorry I didn't talk to you. I'm sorry i dragged you out here. But don't worry. You're leaving soon anyway. Then you won't have see me again. You can move on. You and your dad."

"Wait." I said looking at her. "You don't want to see me again?"

"Of course I do. I want to be with you everyday. But, i can't put you through that." She said standing up.

"No, I don't want to leave. You're  not putting me through anything. I came here because I wanted to see you. Not because you dragged me here."

She smiled.

"You'd still want to see me? Even after all the stuff you went through without me?" She asked.

"Of course. You're my mom Taylor. I love you."

"I love you too Lil'. Forever and always."
