Ed's pov.

"What?" I asked answering my phone.

"Ed be resonable." Austind said.

"I've already told you no."

"Just come down to the hospital. Look at her. See her. Talk to her."

"You think it's that easy?" I spit. "My wife forgot me."

"Ed i know what you're feeling-"

"Really? Because she still remembers you." I said.

"Would you stop being so selfish!" He yelled.

"I need time Austin. Lots of time."

"Time to do what?!"

"TO HEAL AUSTIN! I NEED TIME TO GET USED TO THE FACT THAT SHE FORGOT ME! IS THAT TOO MUCH TO ASK?" I said hanging up.

I sighed sitting on the couch. Why did things have to be so hard?

It's been a month. Thirty one days.

She's still cooped up in that hospital room.

"Daddy." Lily said coming into the living room.

I patted the seat next to me and she came over.

"I miss mommy." She announced once she was next to me.

"I do too." I said.

"I wanna see her." She whispered.

I looked up wide eyed.

Not once did I ever think about the fact that Lily might want to see Taylor.

Was I really that selfish?

"Go put your shoes on." I said.

"Why?"

"We're going to see mommy."

"Yes, Daddy thank you!" She screeched hugging me.

I smiled as i watched her run to put her shoes on.

I walked to the door as she ran down the steps.

"Ready.'' She said taking my hand.

She ran in front of me to the car as I unlocked it. Helping her in I glanced at the backseat. Taylor's purse was thrown on the floor along with her scarf. I smiled to myself as i picked up the scarf. It had her scent on it still.

Lily reached out her small hands wrapping the scarf in them. She glared at it with glazed over eyes. I warapped it around her and she held it to her tightly.

She opened her mouth to say something but closed it again. I took it as my sign to start driving.

As the hospital got closer and closer I repeatedly glanced at the mirror to Lily. She stared at the scarf like it held everything for. Like it was her future. Like it was all she had.

I kept telling myself to keep my eyes on the road. Don't look at Lily.

It only made things worse.

As we pulled into the parking garage Lily started cheering.

"We're going to see mommy!''

She got out and grabbed my hand as we walked towards the doors. Walking in she started jumping as she ran to Andrea.

"Ed," She said shocked. "I didn't know you were coming.

"I wanted to see mommy." Lily said.

Andrea's eyes got watery.

"Yeah." She said walking towards me.

"Ed."

"Yes?" I asked.

"I need you to do me a favor."

"And what is that?"

"Well Taylor is allowed to leave later today."

"Yeah?" I asked unsure. "What does that have to do with me?"

"I need you to take her to your house.
