Ed's pov.

I watched my daughters face crumble as the tears flowed from her eyes. She turned and ran out of the room, down the hall.

I chased after her, throug the halls yelling.

"Lily!"

''I'll get her." Taylor's mom announced running after her.

I turned back around into the room.

"Ed.." I heard her fragile voice behind me.

I looked at her.

"Who was that?" She asked.

"That was your daughter." I said roughly.

"I don't have a daughter Ed. Why did you kiss me before?" She whispered.

In my chest my heart dropped to my stomach.

I turned.

"What?" I asked.

"Why am I here, who was that girl, and why did you kiss me Ed? We're just friends!" She exclaimed.

I balled my hands into fists and ran out of the room. I ran past thr nurses asking if I was okay. I ran past the waiting room with the questions. I ran past Lily and Andrea. I ran until I was outisde and away from the hospital.

I didn't care that it was cold outside and I left my jacket inside. I didn't care that everyone i loved I just ran away from. I didn't care about anything.

Only one thing was in the back of my mind.

Only one.

How could she forget me? How did she forget Lily? How could she possibly forget everything we've been through.

I wanted so hard to run back there and kiss her. But I also wanted to stay away from her and her absence of me in her mind.

I heard approaching foot steps. Looking up I saw Austin.

"What happened back there man?" He asked sitting next to me on the ground.

"She forgot." I said.

"She forgot what?" He asked.

"Me and Lily, us ever being together. She forgot it all." I said letting the tears seep out of my eyes.

"What?" Austin said wide eyed. "I'm so sorry Ed. I really am. Is there anything I could do to help?"

"Could you maybe leave me alone? You're too much like her." I said looking away.

He sighed.

"Of course. Listen I'm here if you or Lily need anything. Maybe it'd be best if you two go home. Let us explain everything. Let her understand what's going on-"

I cut him off.

"You don't have to explain anything, and she doesn't have to understand. What's past is past. She's never going to remember us again"

I got up and walked towards my car. I noticed Lily and Andrea and walked over to them. I picked Lily up and started walking towards the car.

"Where are you going?" Andrea asked.

"Home. She doesn't need us here anymore."

With that I shut the door and turned the car on.

I looked back once, then kept going.
