"I know what'll make you better." I said looking at Lily.
"What?" She asked sitting up on the bed.
"Will you help me get ready for a date?" I asked her.
"What?! A date?! With who?!" She yelled jumping up. I laughed running my fingers through my hair.
"It's not really a date. I'm just going to dinner with your dad." I said.
"Oh." She said sitting back down.
''But that doesn't mean I can't get all dressed up!'' I yelled standing up.
"I have an idea!" Lily said grabbing my hand. She pulled me along as she ran to my room. "Where are all your clothes?!" She squealed.
"In there!" I said laughing as I pointed to the big walk in closet. She dropped my hand and ran over to the doors. Wrapping her hand around the door knob she looked at me. I nodded and she threw the doors open running in.
"Whoa." She said stopping in the doorway. I followed her gaze to the racks of clothes. "So. Many. Outfits." She stated running to every rack.
"I'm guessing you like it?" I asked watching her happiness rub off on me. She stopped running around and looked at me smiling.
"Like it?! That's an understatement! I love it!" She yelled looking through the clothes once more. "Wait! I have a mission!'' She said pointing her finger in the air.
"Yep. And you better hurry. You dad's coming at eight." I said. She looked back at the clock and then at me.
"I know what to do." She stated proudly.
"And what's that?" I asked.
"Where are your dresses?" She asked me. I pointed to the other side of the closet and she followed me aim. "Now if ii could find the right one..." She carried on.
"The right one?" I asked raising my eyebrow.
"Yeah. The purple one with the the half length sleeves." She said moving around the dresses.
"Oh, you mean this one?" I asked pulling one from the rack.
"Yes! Thats it!" She screamed taking it from my hands. I nodded then looked at her.
"How did you know I had that dress?" I asked.
"Oh, um, well...I was just that big of a fan..." She trailed off. She looked back at me and gave a sheepish grin.
"And what shoes would you like me to wear with it?" I asked putting my hands on my hips. She my shoe closet and looked around.
"Oh my god!" She screamed.
"What?! What's wrong?!" I questioned.
"We have the same shoe size!" She gushed trying on a pair of grey pumps. I laughed watching her in amazement. "Oh shoot it''s seven o'clock!''
"So what do you want me to do?" I asked waiting for her answer.
"Ummm...oh! I know! Go get a shower and I'll find a pair of shoes!" She said pushing me to the bathroom.
"Yes ma'am." I said shuttung the door. Turning on the steamy shower water I peeled the clothes off my body. Not wanting to keep Lily waiting I made it quick and wrapped a towel around my body.
"Finally you're done!" Lily said as I opened the bathroom door.
"What do you mean 'finally'? I was only gone ten minutes." I said looking at the clock and laughing.
"Well we're losing valuable time!" She said ushering me to my makeup. "Sit down and I'll do everything!" She said grabbing a blush brush. I sat back in the chair and relaxed as she applied the makeup to my face. I listened as hummed the tune of songs as she worked and the way she would stick her tongue out when she applied the lipstick.
"Okay, okay. That's it!" She said. I turned to face the mirror and she grabbed my shoulders stopping me. "What are you doing?!? She asked with wide eyes.
"I'm looking at the makeup why?" I asked looking at her.
"You can't look yet! Go get dressed first! Pleaseeeee!" She begged and smiled at her.
"If thats what you want me to do I'll do it." She smiled back at me as I kissed her cheek and walked back to the closet to get dressed. Slipping on the short purple dress I noticed the glittery shoes she laid out with them. "What?" I said to myself as I picked up the note with them.
'Put these shoes on with the out fit because everygirl needs a little sparkle!'
I set the note down with a small tear in my eye. I looked out into my bedroom and watched her dance around the room oblivious to the world. She was my daughter. My wonderful beautiful daughert that I wouldn't trade for anything.
"Are you almost done?" She yelled from outside the closet. I quickly put on the shoes and met her outside the closet doors.
"Woah." She said looking at me as her jaw dropped. I nodded at her and walked to the mirror looking at myself. "I know you don't usually wear little to makeup.." She started as I looked at my face. "but you look really beautiful without. Please don't add more. You don't need it and if you don't believe me I'll show you my fanpage and you can see the thousands of people who believe me." I turned around and embraced her tightly. She nuzzled her head in my neck and i played with her hair.
"Thank you Lily. I love you more than you could ever imagine.'' I said pulling away from her. She smiled at me and grabbed my hand.
"I love you too mom." She said coming closer and kissing my cheek. I stared at her in amazement looking at the wonderful girl she's grown up to be. Downstairs the doorbell went off and she grinned at me.
"Time to go." She said as she stood up and walked me downstairs to the great one of the most amazing guys ever.
