The sun was burning bright and warm, siting proud and high in the blue sky, while whisps of fluffy white clouds drifted leisurely through the air. The deep ocean that splashed against the side of the small caravel that bobbed across the surface was calm and temperate, sprays of salty foam bursting into the air as the water crashed against the wood, while the white sails billowed in the gentle breeze. The beauty of the day was only bolstered by the warmth of the sun. A gentle breeze swept across the deck of the Going Merry, rustling the tangerine trees gently, and carried the voice of the ships navigator."I can't believe you got us lost!"
The orange haired teen was yelling at the crews swordsman, who wore a deep scowl, with her hand on her hips. Nami had disappeared inside to have a much needed shower and left the eternal log pose with the rudder. The rest of the crew had been to preoccupied with what they were already doing so Zoro had been left in charge, which in hindsight was a terrible on their part ,and they were now headed in the opposite direction to Alabasta.
Vivi smiled nervously as she came to stand beside her friend "It's alright Nami, it was just a mistake"
"I don't know why I left" the ginger sighed as she slapped her forehead in exasperation "your sense of direction is worse the Luffy's!". The green haired teen whipped his head towards the younger girl but before he could snap at her a friendly and juvenile voice called out from the front of the small ship.
"ISLAND!" The straw hat boy stood on top of the ram figurehead as he pointed in front of him "Look! Right over there!".
The small crew gathered at the bow of the caravel and watched as the small island that sat on the edge of the horizon gradually grew closer and closer. From their spot on the water, the land look like nothing but golden sand that stretched as far as they could see.
"Should we stop?" Usopp hummed as he scratched his head gently. Sanji nodded as he spoke up.
"We are running a little low on supplies. I think it would be best if we stocked up before we reach Alabasta"
Nami nodded in agreement as Luffy threw his arms up in excitement. They began to rush aroun the deck in preparation for docking.
The Going Merry slowly pulled into the old stone doc and was tied off by the swordsman. The stone peer was covered in a light layer of sand, small clouds of it being kicked up each time they took a step, while the town that stood before them was made of old and weathered stone. People bustled about slowly, all wearing what looked like cloaks, while up beat music spilled through the doors of what looked like a bar. As they moved through the main street people sent them looks of interest. Others looked at them with hate.
"Howdy strangers!" A ruff voice called out from behind the group. They whipped around quickly to see a middle aged man standing there. A gun was strapped to his side while the brown serape that was draped across his shoulders fluttered in the hot breeze. He gave them a friendly smile from around his cigar, but his murky grey eyes were full of malice. The straw hat crew stiffened but Luffy, being the naturally friendly one he is, stepped forward with and award winning smile.
