( Skypiea Arc )
It was a surprising few days of smooth sailing after escaping from Alabasta with their new crew members with the Marines long behind them. The days were spent simply mulling around the ship, cleaning and organising, or simply training. Ashe, when she wasn't doing any of those things, was reading in her hammock. With Robin now on the crew there wasn't enough beds and there definitely wasn't enough room in the girls cabin to try and squeeze in another one so Ashe simply kept the same hammock from before. Though it had taken a bit of convincing to get Nami and Robin to take the beds. Nami kept rambling that it's probably wasn't that great for Ashes back and that because she was the tallest she needed a proper place to sleep but Ashe had gotten her to shut up by simply hitting her with a pillow and climbing into the hammock.
Which is where she was resting now. Ashe was dressed in her black jeans and shirt, boots resting safely on the ground under her, while her hat sat on the small nightstand shoved into the corner of the bedroom. Her socks were a forestry green with yellow pineapple print. One leg was sticking out of the the hammock so she could reach her foot out and push against the wall to make her sway softly as she read through one of the books that Nami had taken from the Kings library in Alabasta. A squishy pillow was propped under her head and Ashe was in her own little heaven.
"Ashe!" Usopps voice echoed from above deck in a shrill cry "There's a ship falling from the sky!"
"What the fuck?!" Ashe bolted up only to almost end up twisting out of the hammock and falling onto the floor. She was gladly able to regain her footing. She didn't bother with her boots or hat, she simply dropped the book and raced up the steps and through several doors before she reached her destination. She wasn't going to deny that she choked on her of breath.
Falling from sky was indeed a ship.
Small bits of rotten wooden debris rained down on them all like hail stones while the massive galleon ship plummeted straight towards them like a meteor before it crashed into the ocean and sent them all reeling. Ashe gripped the doorframe tightly as she cursed. She wasn't even going to try and question what was happenings. The massive and choppy waves that the crash created jerked the Merry violently, sending her sailing across them, while the debris marked their ship slightly. Ashe could feintly hear Zoro and Nami yelling something but she didn't care at the moment. Her knuckles were tuning white with how hard her grip was. Usopp and Chopper went tumbling past her, rolling across the deck, before she sticks her leg out when they went past again. The sniper grabbed her ankle, Chopper in turn in his grip, and pulled himself towards the doorway Ashe was in.
"I know what this is!" Usopp yelled loudly "A dream! Just an awful dream!"
"Dream?" Chopper almost sobbed "I love dreams!"
"Heads up! I don't think the parties over yet! It won't stop falling!" Sanji called out over the sound of the rushing waves as the debris kept coming. Ashe grabbed Chopers hoof while Usopp trembled on the ground beside them.
"The rudder! Turn the rudder!" Nami screamed at Zoro.
"That'll never work in these waves!" He screamed back.
"Luffy!" Ashe called out loudly as she swiped some messy white hair out of her face "Merrys taking a lot of hits! We gotta protect her!"
"Right!" The captain nodded before his eyes flickered to his sniper who was meditating, almost serenely, in the middle of the deck "Usopp?!"
"I cast aside my worries and reached deep within to reach my happy place! And when I open my eyes the serene landscape is all that will lay before me" Usopps eyes flickered open only to focus on the skeleton falling in front of him "Ahhh! A skeleton dead guy!"
