( Alabasta Arc )
Ashe was packing and rechecking her stuff as soon as she was able to weasel her way out from the bottom of the dog pile/group hug. It had been sweet at first but they quickly began to crush her in the awkward position they lay in. She didn't bother walking around the beds and instead simply climbed up onto the one Luffy was sitting on and used it as a step to the next on. She kept going, ignore her giggling Captain who was about to follow her lead and use the beds like trampolines, before she finally stopped when she jumped onto her own one. Ashe bounced for a second but stopped with a grin on her face. The woman dropped down so she was sitting crisscrossed and pulled her satchel out as well as the old waistcoat that she had originally been wearing so she could slip it on over her black button up shirt.
The double doors creaked open suddenly and a royal soldier, decked out completely in the armour, stepped in with a tray that held a snail phone. It was ringing out loudly and the man quickly announced that it was for them. Ash raised a brow, now fastening the leather straps of her revolvers holster across her thighs.
"Snail communication? From who?" Nami asked. Her cinnamon eyes narrowed quickly as she squinted at the phone.
"I don't know" The guard admitted "He called himself Bon"
"Just Bon?" Usopp huffed with his arms crossed.
"Bon, that's it?" Sanji pressed. He was sitting on the floor leaning against the sofa.
"Never heard of him!" Usopp shrugged.
"That strange. He insists that you're all good friends" The soldier stated with a small shrug.
"Friends with us?" Sanji hummed before he stood up quickly. He shuffled over to the guard and quickly reached for the receiver of the phone and lifted it so everyone could hear the person on the other end.
"Hello?!" The person hummed "Hey, old friends. It's me! I bet you never thought you'd hear from me ever again, did ya-?!"
Ashes eyes widened at the familiar voice of the drag queen before it was cut off by Sanji slamming the receiver down back onto its stand. His face was pulled into a grimace, brow twitching, before he gave a confused glance to his crew. No one said anything. They were all in the same state of shock and confusion that they only snapped out of when the phone started ringing again. It was loud and shrill and Ashe rolled her eyes.
"You freak!" Sanji barked at the snail "shut up!"
Luffys arms stretched forward, the boy still sitting on the bed, and grabbed the phone to pull it to himself and answer it "So you escaped, Mister 2, and what do you want?!"
"Straw Hat!" Bon Clay called "I'd recognise that voice anywhere. You're right, I escaped. I want to keep it that way so don't call me Mister 2. If the Marines intercept this call they'll be able to ascertain to locations of both me and you!"
"Thank a lot you jerk!" Chopper screeched as he climbed up onto the bed beside Ashe. Her arms were crossed over her chest as she glared at the snail phone in suspicion.
"Just tell us what you want" Zoro barked.
"Oh, it's not what I want it's what I have! Your ship!"
"Stop joking!" Nami, Zoro, and Chopper barked.
"I'm gonna kick your butt for saying that!" Usopp snarled "where are you?!"
"On your ship! The Going Merry."
"I should've kicked him harder!" Sanji hummed and he clenched his fist tightly.
