Shawn's POV
I get up early in the morning to go to the gym leaving Y/N sleeping cutely with her lips slightly parted. I get changed into my t shirt and shorts even though it's cold as fuck outside.
"Mmm baby" She mumbles with her eyes still closed
"Yes??" I chuckle
"You going to the gym?" She asks
"Yupp I'll be back" I smile walking over to her and kissing her forehead.
"I love your kisses Shawn" She says covering her mouth.
"Why are you covering your mouth?" I question
"My morning breath is not good" She smiles and I laugh. I go downstairs and my phone vibrates so I pull it out of my pocket.
Y/N's mum: How is the tutoring going?
Me: It's fine. I have some interesting news to tell you.
Y/N's mum: Hit me with it
Me: I actually got recognised from the videos I post online and Andrew Gertler from Island Records reached out to me. He's offered me a record label and I've agreed to it.
Y/N's mum: Oh wow congrats Shawn!!!!!
Me: I actually recommended Y/N to him since I know she REALLY loves the music industry and she played in front of him and he accepted her!!!
Y/N's mum: Oh my goodness!!!! That's a very very kind gesture Shawn. So what will she do?
Me: Andrew told me that we start next year and she will help me write songs.
Y/N's mum: So I assume she'll be sending you lyrics through messages since she's going to be at school.
Me: About that.....since I'm going to be performing in mini shows she will actually have to come with me and the production team.
Y/N's mum: Shawn...I can't just let my daughter travel round with her teacher and some management team. I assumed she's signed everything hasn't she??Without our permission....I mean she is 18 so she doesn't really need our approval to sign something I guess. Shawn do you have this guys number because I obviously don't want to ruin her dreams as she's always wanted to do this since she was 5.
Me: I do I'll tell him that I'm giving it to you and you and Derrick can contact him.
Y/N's mum: I'm sure we'll figure something out.
Me: Hopefully

I put my phone in my pocket and sigh as I get into my jeep and drive to the gym.

I mean she reacted better than I thought she would.....

Two hours later.....

Your POV
I get up out of bed and brush my teeth and wash my face. I jump onto the bed and just scroll through my insta. I suddenly get a message from my mum.
Mum: You really want to do this?
I just furrow my eyebrows in confusion reading the message
Me: Do what?
Mum: Don't be scared sweetie. Shawn already told me about you signing the contract.
Me: Yh about that...
Mum: I'll let you do it
My heart stops and I rub my eyes making sure I read the text correctly .
Me: Omg are you serious?
Mum: Does it sound like I'm joking
Me: 😭😭
Mum: The only reason I'm letting you do this is because I know how much this means to you and you're very lucky Mr Mendes has recommended you . The amount of times you've looked for part time jobs in the music industry and not found one breaks my heart. I mean your dad and I do what we love for a living and get to travel all over the world so why not let you? Instead of being alone at home without us. You need to enjoy your life while you're young....
Me: *virtually hugs you tightly balling my eyes out*

Mum: I love you too I've got to get back to work but please just promise me you'll stay safe. Don't worry I've already contacted the school letting them know you're leaving early next year.

I start to breathe really heavily as I'm still processing what just happened.

" Oh my FUCKING GOD!!!" I scream getting off the bed. I rush downstairs and I notice Shawn has Alexa hidden in the corner of his living room.

I guess he doesn't use it.......

"Alexa!!" I shout hoping it works and it makes that sound showing it's listening.
"Play One Kiss by Dua Lipa" I say and it starts to play. I start to dance like crazy not caring if Shawn walked in. I assumed Shawn wouldn't be back for another 30 minutes so I take of my pjs leaving me in a white vest with no bra underneath because who fucking wears a bra to sleep and in my black underwear.

I whip my hair around like crazy as it got to the chorus.
"ONE KISS IS ALL IT TAKES!!!! FALLING IN LOVE WITH ME!!" I yell. Once the song finishes I go to get a snack but Mi Gente comes on and I immediately turn around and shake my hips to the beat. I can't speak Spanish for shit so I just hum the beat. After I finish that suddenly Chun-Li comes on and I just twerk through out the whole song and just as the song ends and as I do my last booty pop of course the fucking door opens.

"Hey babe...woah" Shawn says making me stop twerking and turn around.
"Hey!!" I run up to him hugging him
"You know I'm really sweaty right?" He chuckles embracing me
"Who fucking cares? I'm so happy right now that my mum is letting me do what I love!!" I squeal hugging him tighter
"I'm so happy I'm leaving school...it's so fucking shit" I chuckle letting go of him

That's when I realise I've literally not told someone anything for these past few days. I literally forgot about.......
