"That's impossible; I have seen that boy climb many times Archie and he never slips."News had gotten round Winterfell and to Alia that Bran had fallen from climbing, paralysing him from the waist down but something did not sit right with her. She had watched Bran climb for a while, even though she hated it and feared for him, he had the confidence of a warrior and would never show that he was in any sense of danger.
Archie and his sister were sat outside the Stables and gave his sister a sympathetic look and wrapped his arm around her should comfortingly.
"I know, Alia. It doesn't seem right to me either but all we can hope for is that when he is to wake, he will be able to remember what happened." He states, moving his arm and then standing up from the hay bale they sat on. He places his right hand on the handle to his sword and sighs lightly.
"You know I leave for the Watch in the morning don't you?"
Alia looked up to him and gave a simple nod.
Archie had told her that he spoke to Benjen Stark when he arrived the other evening and how he wanted to join and it was almost without hesitation that he was accepted. Him and Jon for that matter. As for Alia, tomorrow she is to leave for Kings Landing where she will be protecting Sansa and Arya, mainly Sansa, as she overheard Ned Stark being made the Kings Hand and Sansa is to wed Joffrey.
She believed the aspect of leaving Winterfell to be unnerving yet exciting as she had never been to a place of such luxury. Although she had been out of the Winterfell gates but that was only for hunting and minor battles with other guards and Lord Eddard himself.
"Yes, I know you're leaving Archie. I am happy for you though." She said truthfully because she was, she was happy that he was leaving and becoming an official Crow and not just by their last names.
With a smile, he nods to his sister as he goes to meet with Jon and Robb to which she took the opportunity to go and see Bran.
Before she entered the room, she heard faint sobbing from behind the door, obviously coming from his mother.
"May I enter?" She asks from behind the door and when she heard a reply, she walked in and pulls her hood down, letting her dark long locks flow free.
"Forgive me My Lady, I came to see Bran."
She doesn't respond, she just simply gives the weakest smile and nods her head. She stood and watched her for a while and looked to the untouched food tray to her side.
"You must eat and rest, My Lady." Alia states, concern evident in her voice as she sits on the side of Bran's bed where his body lay as she gently brushes his forehead with the tip of her finger.
"How can I Alianora? Some monster pushed him! I know it!" She declares, whisper-shouting so others who may be wandering the halls don't hear her.
Sighing, Alia pulls her face mask down so it rests just under her chin and neck and takes a hold of Catelyns shaking hands, rubbing her thumbs over the top of hers.
