The next morning soon came, the sounds of men shouting in the yard from outside her brother's window made her stir awake, her hair wild and untamed. She let out a loud, groggy yawn and sat up, rubbing her eyes with the palms of her hands. She smacks her lips together slightly, feeling disgusted by her morning breath and dry mouth.
In the corner of the room, she spots her swords and bow packed neatly together on top of her clothes. She had slept in her undershirt when Edd had left, not wanting to sleep in someone else's clothes. She also noticed that her clothes that she came in were now dry so she slips on her corseted tunic and pants, pulling on the fur boots that her brother had acquired for her and she was about to put his cloak on but she noticed that hanging over the back of the door was his cloak from Winterfell, the same one she had but had left in Kings Landing. Her fingers trailed along the delicate feathers that Sansa and Arya had pinned on when they were younger and gently rubbed the hood. Taking it down, she slung it over her shoulders. She rooted through her brothers' drawers, not finding anything interesting except spare clothes, some knives but when she found a loose bit of ribbon she combed through her hair and used the ribbon to tie her hair up into a ponytail. She didn't particularly care how her hair looked but as long as she looked somewhat presentable then she was pleased with how she looked.
Pushing open the door to her brothers' room, she scanned down the quiet and dark hallways before slowly making her way down. She was looking for her brother more importantly, not wanting to get involved with anyone she didn't know. After a few minutes of searching for him, she let out a small sigh and leaned her back against on eof the wooden pillars that looked out onto the yard, watching people walk by, giving her an odd look before carrying on. It was safe to say she felt uncomfortable about the place she was in and she was still feeling rundown from her long and hazardous journey. Not to mention, she didn't know what to think about Melisandre and how she had practically brought her back to life. Honestly, Alia believed it was just a coincidence. Maybe her heart just stopped briefly, and it was coincidental that Melisandre was there when it happened. She wasn't anything special in her opinion. She had duties and so did many others and she abide by them. She was no longer a Knight, something she had to tell Archie still, and she had plenty of near-death encounters anyhow. It was crazy to her.
She carried on walking, now just taking in her surroundings of the castle but she walked past a room, faint voices inside. She couldn't make out if her brother was one of the voices and therefore hesitated whether or not to intrude.
Biting her lower lip, she pushed on the door, opening a little as she peeked her head in to see a group of men sat by a table, talking seriously amongst one another. She walked in causing one of the men to look up and nudged the mans shoulder beside him who stopped talking and looked up to the unfamiliar woman in front of them.
"Hello, forgive me sorry, I was wondering if you know where Archie Crow is? Or Jon Snow for that matter?"
There was four men in total, one of them being a younger looking boy who was pale faced and had short brown hair. His eyes had stared at Alia, analyzing her every movement. One of the men scoffed slightly and leaned back on his chair. "Why would a Wildling want to see the Lord Commander? And Archie Crow for that matter?" He had mocked, taking a sip of ale from his cup.
Alia became amused by their obliviousness yet rude encounter with them, but she was surprised and delighted to here of Jon's position in the Nights Watch. She held her hands behind her back and looked down to the floor, biting her lip lightly before looking back over to them. "My apologies, I'll ask again, however. Where can I find Archie Crow or The Lord Commander?" She whistled, tilting her head to the side slightly as she awaited an answer.
