Alianora and Sandor woke the next morning. As Alia sat up, she noticed the bodies that lay around them start to decay making her feel slightly uneasy and quickly rolled up her bedroll, stomped out the fire and readied Stranger. She watched as Sandor mounted his steed, patting its neck as a sign of affection whilst Alia kept her feet on the ground and held onto the reigns before pulling them through the trees and back onto the Kings Road.
"What're ya doing?" The Hound asks, looking down to the woman who kept her eyes on the Kings Road, feeling anxious about what else they may face on their travels.
"Walking?" She replies, not looking up to him but when she answered he kept his mouth shut and allowed her to walk rather than having them argue about who should sit on the horse.
As they travelled, it didn't really occur to them where they were going and didn't consider if someone wanted to go elsewhere.
Sandor watched Alianora, unsure on how to keep up a conversation with her because he didn't know if it was awkward or not. Alia however, didn't really have any particular interest in speaking to him after everything he had done to her yet after she saved him, she felt suddenly different towards the murderer. Was he good? Was he all that bad?
She shrugged of the thoughts for now as she walked past some bushes, the smell of mint surfacing the air. She inhaled through her nose and let out a small smile as she handed the reigns over to Sandor before stopping and collecting some mint leaves into her pouch. A handful or so.
Sandor looked over his shoulder to watch her, pulling Stranger to a halt. "The fuck you getting those for?"
Alianora rolled her eyes at his question, unsure why he chooses to swear in nearly every sentence he speaks.
"To keep my breath fresh... I recall Littlefinger using them to keep his breath smelling nice."
Alia placed a leaf onto her tongue and offered her travelling companion one. He looked to the leaf pinched between her fingers, scoffed a little but when he noticed she was being serious he rolled his eyes and took it from her fingers and placed it in his mouth.
Smirking successfully, she took hold of the reigns again and pulled Stranger into a small trot.
From then on, they remained quiet. Alia didn't mind though because she enjoyed walking and taking in the fresh air and beauty of the trees. Although the sky was greyed over with dark clouds, she didn't mind. She preferred colder weather than to the scorching hot sun like she faced in Kings Landing. Maybe it's because she's from the North and its what she knows best.
They walked for miles and her feet started to ache but did her best to not show it. Her fast paced soon turned into tired movements which caught Sandor's attention straightaway.
"Does your feet hurt, woman?" He asked gruffly but she quickly shook her head and looking up to him whilst adjusting her holster of weapons on her back. "Nah, just getting tired is all."
He cocks his eyebrow up at her and nods his head to gesture for her to get on but she refused. "It's fine, we should stop soon anyway. Give this bad boy a rest, eh boy?" She replies enthusiastically towards Stranger who replied with a subtle neigh, satisfying Alia.
And so they did.
Sandor dismounted Stranger and followed Alia into the trees to stay more hidden.
Alia sat down on the ground, stretching her legs out a bit and letting out a heavy sigh. "Don't suppose you got any food?" She asked Sandor as he sat across opposite her, picking his dirty finger nails.
