The night was cold, as I walked through the forest covered in layers of ice. There was almost no spot without ice, Nothing was alive. I shivered in the cold and continued walking, I did not know where I was going, all I knew, was that I needed to leave before things could get any worse.
I still felt the cold presence of Winter, but, it was only a breeze. I did not know how he knew where I was, and how he was still hot on my trail, but, at least he was still maybe two or three miles away. I continued walking quickly but I slowly started to turn around, and found the spots where the wind was not as cold and I continued that direction until I felt cold again, I was making my way back to the elemental kingdom so that I would be able to find protection with Reaver and Frost.
The night was cold because it was winter, and, Winter, the king, was following me, and trying to capture me so that, he would be able to kill me. He would not think that I would turn back, he probably thought that I was trying to hide in another kingdom, get as far away as possible, but, no. That was not the way I handled things. I was going to go back and hide with Reaver, my, father, the one I should have followed as soon as he came to the kingdom with my siblings, I should have went with them, I should have been able to be free, to have a family, but I was confused, I thought that Winter was a good father, he had my trust while my mother was waiting for their wedding day, and he became colder as days and months went by, after my mother had been captured, but, after I had found out about her death, I assumed that he would do whatever he possibly could to protect and care for me, but, no, he just laughed at my mothers death, and sent be to be killed. He had lost my trust years ago, and now, I was stronger, and braver, he should have led me to believe that he would be a good king, that I should be able to trust him, I would have been loyal, and he would have found out how strong I was, he would know that I could take elves and possibly kingdoms down, but no, he lost his chance, but yet, he still had a chance, with Gloria's rage. Winter could have built a kingdom bigger than all the other ones, if he had kept me, and cared for me, and Gloria would have showed up too, like she had a few years after she had started to grow up, now they were still, years younger but, they looked older than they should have been, it was all unnatural, had they aged more years? How old were they really? I continued along until I got to a small little cottage, on the side of a river. I made my way over to it, knowing that I would be safe since, Winter would not think that I would turn back, and if he came back anyways, I would still be safe, if, I befriended and gained the trust of whomever lived in this little cottage.
I knocked on the old wooden door, that was covered in layers of moss, and I heard someone moving around inside. I waited and soon, the door was opened and my jaw dropped. I was pulled inside a warm and yet very blue area where, moss covered everything, and a fire roared just across the room. "Hurricane?"

Why are you here?" He asked with a hiss. "Why on Starcrests evil little soul, did you come here?"

I was running." I answered. "Winter is after me."

Well you should keep running then, because he is going to find you here, and we are both going to be killed." Hurricane snapped.

He does not know that I turned back, he does not know that I know you, as long as you do what he says and let him look around when he asks to, let him, I will hide, just, please let me stay here until tomorrow, I am going to go back to Reaver." I explained. "I just need a place to hide right now."

Hurricane sighed in the midst of thinking over what I had said. "Are you sure this is a good idea?"

Positive." I answered.

Then, alright, I will let you stay, but you have, to stay, down below." He replied with a long sigh.

Thank you so very much." I said with relief. "What do you mean down below?"

Follow me." He answered as he started walking towards a door.

He opened it and there was a whole lot of fur coats and armor inside. "I do not understand, do I have to stay hidden behind this?" I asked.

He did not answer, he only pushed those aside and walked forward into the dark.

I said nothing and followed closely behind. "What is this?"
He did not answer yet again, he only walked, and soon, I could feel us going downwards.
It took a while before I heart Hurricane searching the wall in front of him for something, then, light appeared before my eyes, and I felt warm again. "Where are we?"

In my chamber, it is where I keep weapons, I also have a reptile down here, so do not anger it." He answered. " I also keep a bed down here for situations like this so, there you have it."

Did you build all of this?" I asked.

Ha! No, I am not that skilled, it was my great great grandfather, who built this cottage and secret chamber, he was a soldier for many years, and he was an assassin for the last years of his life." Hurricane explained.

I suddenly heard something behind me and I froze in horror.

Oh, well, I guess that you are meeting my guard after all." He chuckled and I turned around and screamed, in joy...
