By the time we got to Eel's house we already had a few other children with us. I knocked on the door and a boy who looked older than us answered and glared. "What." He hissed.
Would you like to join our group? We are going to be playing together." Hurricane said.
Ha! Go away, I do not play with girls and little boys like you Hurricane, go home to your mommy." Eel laughed as he slammed the door.
Well he was rude." Moray growled.
Come on, we still have Pearl to ask." I said as we began walking again.
We got there and I knocked on the door.
Hello." Pearl's raspy voice said. "What do you want?"
I was shocked at her appearance, she looked gray and dim. What had happened to her. 'Pearl, I know that you are really tired and recovering from Caspian but, would you like to come play with us?" I asked and she looked outside and saw the group.
River, it is really nice to see you again but, I do not know how to play anymore." Pearl said.
You do not have to play Pearl, you can watch and maybe walk and talk with us." Moray said.
I suppose." Pearl replied. "Maybe tomorrow."
She disappeared quickly behind the door and I heard her coughing, it sounded terrible. I wanted to help her but, I was probably the last elf she wanted to see from my family.
How does she know you?" Hurricane asked.
We were kind of friends a while ago." I answered quietly.
We started walking back towards the centre of the village and we sat down.
It is too late to play now so, we should next week." Moray said and the other children nodded in agreement.
After all the elven children left Hurricane was the only one left. "Can I talk to you?" He asked.
Sure Hurricane, whatever you need." I answered.
You can call me Hurri." He said and I nodded with a slight chuckle.
Ok, what do you want to talk to me about?" I asked.
Can I stay over, I have never really had an elf to be around except for my mother." He answered.
Sure, I will ask my grandmother." I replied as we began walking to my cottage.
Moray came running up to me in panic.
Your grandmother will see me as a human! I need to turn back!" She cried and Hurri looked at her in confusion.
Can you not wait?" I asked.
No! I need to turn now or she will see me come in as a human and Grammy does not like more visitors then needed." Moray answered.
Hide behind a bush." I replied and she went running.
Eww! Is she going pee?" Hurricane asked.
No!" I cried, realizing that Hurricane had heard our entire conversation. "Listen to me very carefully, what you are about to whiteness can not be shared with anyone, not even your mother or our group, understand?"
Yes." He answered and Moray came running out from behind the bush. "Umm, where is Moray and where did this cute creature come from?"
Oh umm, this is Moray, my pet dragon." I answered.
Aww, she is so cute! Wait, Moray." He replied in confusion and looked at the dragon. "Is this Moray?"
Yes, Moray the elf and Moray my best pet dragon." I answered.
Does she know that she is a dragon right now?" Hurricane asked.
No, she is unaware that she is small and is on all four and has wings." I hissed as I for Moray to make her way back to the cottage. "You should not stay with us, go home to your ushered, she will be worried if you do not."
He nodded in agreement and ran off quickly towards the village while I started walking towards my Grammy's house.
When I opened the door I found my grandmother on the floor in a pool of blood. "GRAMMY!!!!!!!!!" I screamed as I fell to my knees.
Moray came running and her jaw dropped to the floor once she noticed Grammy and the blood.
What happened?!!" She cried and I broke into tears.
She was like this when I came in." I sobbed. "I don't know-"
Caspian." Grammy quietly croaked.
My face turned red in anger and I looked out the window starring off at the lake outside the house. "As future water queen, I will execute him on the spot." I hissed. "There will be no mercy for this act."
How did he even get back?" Moray asked.
He must have broken free when they were taking him away, he could have offered them something." I answered.
How will you find him?" She asked.
I do not know, but I am sure that I will find him and he will beg for life, but there is no easy and unharmful punishment for murder, he murdered my parents, and my grandmother who saved me from being killed by him, no one can save him from me now." I explained.
Wow River, I never knew you had this side of yourself." she said.
We all have dark sides, I just let mine out when I need to." I replied.
Do I have one?" She asked.
We all do, you just have yet to find it." I answered.
As we watched in silence as the life slipped away from Grammy I growled in anger. "He is not a king, he is a murderer."
Will it be fast or, torturous?" Moray asked.
I am not as cruel as Poppy was to my mother." I hissed. "I'll end his life quickly."
I thought that you said your mother was dead." She replied.
Oh, I meant my new mother, queen Tera, now it is just, Tera." I explained.
And who is Poppy?" She asked.
Poppy is the sister of Tera." I answered.
She killed her own sister?" She gasped.
Caspian killed his own brother, what is the difference?" I asked.
Nothing I guess." She replied and I sighed sadly.
As I sat there crying, I kept muttering, "I will avenge you." and then, I fell asleep from exhaustion.
