"Midoriya," Deku didn't respond.

He couldn't hear them. He was too caught up in his thoughts, he couldn't think straight. His mind was swarming with ideas on how to take down (Y/n). The rest of the Mayhem Squad didn't even come to his mind once. The League of Villains had been inactive since the bar burnt down, leading the heroes to believe that that had been the dangerous group's base before it went down.

"Midoriya," Deku, once again, didn't acknowledge the voice calling his name.

(Y/n)'s words to him also flew around in his scrambled brain. He knew the truth and all that jazz, but hearing it in such a blunt, harsh way from the person who had his heart hurt. What pained and bothered Izuku Midoriya the most, though, was the fact that he believed him. He would have no problem if it was anyone else, but for some reason hearing those flaming words from (Y/n) of all people made him think they were true.

"I'll never love you back. I didn't the first time you told me, and I sure as hell don't now. You're too weak, too stupid—and you're too selfish. No one will ever love you, ever."

Deku's mouth tasted bitter and his throat was dry at the thought of the hate-filled words (Y/n) basically spat at him. He hated himself for being just what (Y/n) and Kirishima had labeled him— Pathetic. But he could make up for that. All he had to do was get rid of these conflicting feelings, then he could happily take (Y/n) down. These conflicting feeling would be the end of him if he didn't get them out of the way— the absolute hate and seemingly undying love clouding his thoughts and putting his heart and brain against each other.

"Deku," said hero finally whipped his head the person calling his voice.

"Yes, Uraraka?" Deku answered.

"We need to talk about something..." Uraraka said nervously.

"What is there to speak of?" Deku replied.

"You need to do better at your job, Deku," Tsuyu Asui interrupted.

"What are you talking about?" Deku questioned, hoping to seem clueless.

"Don't act oblivious, we all know you've been absent a lot lately," Tsuyu mildly scolded, letting Deku know he had been caught red-handed.

"Yeah, Deku, and you keep coming back with injuries... You also look more emotionally drained," Uraraka added in a rather concerned tone, "we're worried, I'm worried."

"It's nothing, really..." Deku lied.

"Don't come to us with that, Deku," Sero butted in when he walked in the room, "we can all see that something's been up."

"Why do you care?" Deku wondered meekly.

"Look, dude, I was just angry when I yelled at you, and it was wrong," Sero sighed, putting aside his pride, "but I'm still your friend and we all need to know what's up."

"Fine..." Deku looked ashamed, "it's only right, I guess, but give me some time and I'll tell everyone what's been going on."

"Holy shit," Bakugou stated as he stared. Kirishima's mouth gaped, and it was amazing his jaw didn't just drop to the floor.

"(Y/n), holy actual shit," Kirishima droned, "holy hell."

"I don't think I'm all that holy as of late, but whatever you say, guys," (Y/n) responded, a fond look in his eyes as the rest of his face remained blank. His team had caught the look in his eyes though, obviously.

"Where in the fucking world have you been, you asshole?!" Bakugou yelled harshly.

"Attempting to give you a second chance, you ungrateful brat," (Y/n) smirked lightly and Bakugou sighed before he could blow up entirely.

"We're glad you're back, man," Kirishima grinned, "we all missed you! Shouto kind of acted like you while you were gone, and Bakugou was like a lost p-"

Bakugou was quick to hit the redhead's head hard, "Shut up!"

"Aww, it's nice to know that you all missed me, but I kind of figured that Shouto did by the way he reacted when he saw me," (Y/n) teased.

"(Y/n), no, what the hell-" Todoroki spluttered, "don't tell them that."

"Tell us what?" Kirishima asked cluelessly, "what'd Shouto do?"

"He probably kissed him or something, stupid lovesick idiot that he is," Bakugou grumbled.

"Wow, maybe we got Katsuki's quirk wrong," (Y/n) joked, "maybe you're actually psychic."

"You guys are disgusting," Bakugou scoffed.

"Anyway... We've been apart for a long time, and I'm eager to get out there and fuck some shit up," (Y/n)'s look got a bit serious, "any ideas on how to further screw with the heroes?"

"Yeah," Bakugou responded, "we could just, you know, mess up the League even more. They've gotten lazy in the time we were there, so they're pretty weak without us."

"That would be getting the League of Villains out of hair for good, too, right?" Kirishima questioned, considering the possibilities.

"I suppose, but that's too easy," (Y/n) ran his hand through his hair, "I was thinking more of a challenge?"

"Oh, I have the perfect idea for that," Todoroki had this mischievous look in his eyes, "it's about time we spread our message to the areas outside of the city— don't you think?"

They were back together at last, and things were starting to click at an alarming rate. Moving their work outside the city would put everyone involved at a slight disadvantage. This was new territory, none of them had any experience working in this terrain. But alas, that may be the point of the group's suddenly desired change in scenery. They've been in the city for too long, and it's about time the people in the suburbs and rural areas feel the fear of Mayhem themselves.

(Y/n) got this look on his face when he finished thinking that option over. Leaving their current stadium wasn't a bad idea. The heroes were getting boring, more predictable— and perhaps bringing the battle to unfamiliar grounds would solve that issue. Because even if their motives were clean and somewhat pure, what's the point of it all if you don't have fun along the way?

"Okay then," (Y/n) gave a dark smile, "let's get down to business."

(That's the chapter, everyone! I know it's not the best, but I normally write these things while listening to the song I put at the top, and my headphones broke. I've had them for two years and I've worn them out, I suppose. I took off the jack to see if I could repair the wires, but they're so far gone that I couldn't even get the jack back on. Sorry guys, if I get a new pair before the next chapter is done then hopefully it'll be better!)

"There, I ended it,"

"____ what are you doing?!"

"Are you insane?!"

"You weren't supposed to kill hi-"

Just like that, it was over. Both the leaders were basically gone. One having gone to the world above, and the other having dropped to the latter's level. The one still living, though, would not live to see another day. He had enraged the wrong people— the wrong person with his thoughtless actions.
