Epilogue

Dear Army,

Thank you for being with us, through everything, you love and support us and we love you so so much, each and every one of you.

We wish we could say thank you to you all individually, a personal message just for you to thank you for everything. But instead we can thank you all as a whole, as a team, an ARMY.

We make music because it's what we love to do, we write lyrics from our hearts because it's how we feel. Every song has its own meaning and they all tell a story, they're all unique but they come together as a recollection of our journey. Some are emotional, and some are joyful, but they all have a meaning that is deep in our hearts. Some secrets we're to scared to reveal, they might be in song, personal lyrics displaying feelings. But to others they are just music, just notes on a piano or strings on a guitar, and a lonely voice singing about an unnamed lover or childhood feeling, just a song that they enjoy listening to. But to the writer and the singer it is something special, and to some receivers, they can connect with the artist, whether it be because of a shared mental illness, a struggle both may be suffering from, or a shared feeling of unable to love or be loved freely. We can connect with the lyrics, and we hope we can connect with you ARMY.

When we're on that stage, performing in front of millions, we try to deliver a performance that you'll hopefully never forget. We try and make it the best yet and we give our best. But sometimes we might mess up, fall, stumble over words or miss a note. It can feel like the world is crashing down, like you're a failure. You failed to deliver the best performance for your fans, the people you love and support you, a performance they've been so excited to see, they've saved up to go and see you live and get you messed up. It wasn't perfect and now they're disappointed, because it wasn't how they expected.

But everyone makes mistakes and it's okay. You still support us for our slip ups, you don't hate us when we fall down. We aren't failures because we worked so hard to get here, we succeeded and we will continue to succeed because we are a team.

But we were so close to breaking apart, to letting all of it go. We were ready to disband and leave everything we'd worked so hard for behind because it was all to much for us. The pressure to be perfect was too much and we almost let everything go because of it. We were ready to let go, but we didn't, we couldn't because of ARMY, and the bond we all share between every member and our fans, because you are the ones who show us that we can't do it, if it wasn't for you, we wouldn't be here anymore.

When we cry, we aren't babies, we aren't weak. We are crying because we're emotional, and we cry out of happiness. And you cry with us. You have no idea how much you mean to us and we love you so much that when we try to say that out loud, the tears just can't stop falling, they can't stop themselves from breaking free (WE'RE SOARING, FLYING~ sorry) and letting themselves slide down our cheeks. We all need to cry, let it out because we've been through so much.

We were able to do so much because of you, we were able to speak at the UN and show everyone our campaign for self love that we've all worked so hard on. That whoever you are, you should speak yourself, because you're all so special. No matter who you are, where you're from, your skin colour, gender identity: speak yourself.

We won awards that we never would of thought we'd be able to win, we've dreamed of that moment, with the trophy in our hands but we would've never thought it'd come true. But our dreams came true because of ARMY. We changed the Kpop industry because of you ARMY, with our hard work and your support, we were able to become who we are.

From when we debuted to now, we've been through so much hate, discrimination and feelings of worthlessness, that we've had to work so hard to love ourselves, work so hard to love the person you see in the reflection, in the mirror and in the water down below, the reflection that stares back at us shouldn't be glaring in hatred, in disgust because they hate who they see but with love and acceptance because that's who you are and you're beautiful in every way. You're unique and special; each flaw on your body tells a story, and everyone has a different story to tell.

Love yourself, love myself,

- BTS, 방탄소년단

The End.

"If you are sad, cry. If you are happy, smile. If you have a problem, ask. If you are scared, close your eyes. If you are hurt, scream. If you want to give up, watch at how much you have made" - BTS

I wanted to add that but I didn't know where to add it so here it is.

So, this is the end.

This is my first ever story ever, so it feels kind of strange now it's over, kind of emotional. I've been dragging this on for ages though, taking ages to update, sorry about that lol.

I should be continuing with Seoulmates soon, I'll still be hiatus though most probably for a bit though before I come back to update it.

I went back and looked at the first few chapters and let's just say, they are garbage, I hope I improved lmao. I will go back an edit mistakes, and change a couple bits, maybe write a bit more in chapters that are too short. But for now, this is the end.

I hope you enjoyed, this is a bit different to other BTS stories, seeing as it isn't exactly 100% fictional, it more tells there story in a way.

But I hope you liked it nonetheless.

Thank you so much for the votes and reads, I really appreciate it 💕

I love you all so much, goodbye ❤️💜
