A month had passed.

Wyatt moved periods, so T no longer had him in his art class.

They didn't talk, text, except for small glances they would pass during school.

Tyler's friends still had no idea about this other side of T, and he didn't want to ever let them in. That would be just, too much, at least for now. Wyatt was happy with Amanda, at least Tyler hoped he was. Kali and Tyler were over—She started dating that one jock ever since that dance, but Tyler was somewhat relieved that was over with.

He still played around with Bella sometimes, when he felt like getting his built up tension out, but that was it. They both knew they didn't belong in a relationship, but Bella and T made great fuck buddies anyway.

Rocky and Jorja were dating now, which made him hang out even less with them.

"We should go skate later," Taco sighed, sitting next to Jasper, Tyler and Lionel.

"Man, I have to babysit my cousin tonight." Lionel answered.

"Yeah I can't either. I have to get this fucking history project done so my grade can at least go up to a D," Jasper supported his chin with his hand.

"Damn, it's not the same without Rocky's stupid ass," Taco scoffed, as they all looked at Jorja sitting on his lap across the lunchroom.

"Fuck her. She's with him all the time now," Lionel said.

"At least he's happy," Tyler sighed, watching Wyatt and Amanda sharing their food a couple tables away.

"Whatever. We going to prom or nah?" Taco asked, watching the leadership kids tape the prom posters up on the lunchroom windows.

"Fuck it, it's our last year." Lionel said.

"No nigga, it's stupid. We can do our own thing." Tyler redacted.

"Like what then?" Taco asked.

"I don't know. We can go watch a movie or something like we did last year during prom,"

"Thats stupid. Let's just go nigga, we don't have dates anyways," Jasper cut T off.

"Whatever, imma see." Tyler got up from the table, making his way outside.

"Where you going nigga?" Taco yelled from inside, but Tyler ignored him, walking toward the bench outside.

He sat on it, looking up to find Wyatt and Amanda all the way across him, sitting with their backs facing T. They talked about something, Tyler could tell Wyatt was having fun. Maybe a part of him did actually like Amanda, but T knew she couldn't possibly know more than he did.

"Hey stranger," a familiar voice sat next to him.

"I thought you weren't talking to me anymore."

"It was awkward then. But now that that's all over, it's whatever. We're still friends right?" Kali sat close to him, her eyes gazed up to see who Tyler watched.

"Sure," Tyler didn't even bother to look at Kali.

"Who are you staring at?"

Tyler immediately took his eyes off of Wyatt.

"Uh, no one,"

"Isn't that the kid who took pictures at Jorja's party? Shit, what's his name—,"

"Wyatt."

"Yeah, him," her brows furrowed, she was surprised Tyler knew immediately. She suspected something.

"You know, I always thought you were different," Kali began again.

"What?" Tyler asked.

"You and Wyatt. You have something,"

Tyler redacted, standing up in defense.

"What the fuck are you talking about?"

"I'm just saying you guys get along," Kali stood up too.

"What's that supposed to mean?"

"That you don't wanna be seen as his friend because he's some kind of weird nerd. And you're like embarrassed of being seen with him. But you guys are friends right?" She chewed her bubblegum nonchalantly.

Tyler let out a breath. Thank god she meant friends. T knew if she began to suspect anything more he'd be dead.

"Oh, uh, nah. We talk about music sometimes but he's too weird," Tyler scratched the back of his head, calming down.

"That's funny? I thought I saw you guys hanging out at the library once?" She twirled a strand of hair on her finger.

"Yeah, for a school project or whatever," Tyler saved himself.

She nodded, taking a quick look at Wyatt before turning back to Tyler.

"I guess i'll see you around."

Kali walked away, her boyfriend waited for her by the gate. Tyler bit his lip, unsure of what to think. If anyone else saw what Kali had seen it would be bad. His reputation would be at stake. But for now, all he wanted was for summer to get here quick.
