After Ginny had left, Draco heard Hermione's light footsteps enter the room. They didn't speak for a while, just sat in silence. He could feel her staring at him deeply, but who could blame her? She had missed those blonde locks, and all she could think about, much to her annoyment, was when they first kissed nearby the lake. She ran her hand through his hair, with any other girl Draco would of stopped to refix his hair, but with Hermione, he didn't give a damn. Oblivious to her own actions, Hermione's fingers couldn't help but stroke over her own lips, where he had kissed her 3 years ago.

'Did you miss me, Draco?' She whispered. He sighed, looking into the open fire 'Endlessley'. Hermione held in her breath, leaning forward slightly, but she stopped herself from running to him. She watched him sink into the sofa, running a hand through his hair. 'Why didn't you contact me-'

'I couldn't' He said, quickly 'That's what makes me angry'. Hermione sighed, standing up and sitting beside him, but he moved away slightly. 'For 3 years I was locked away. Not only was I stripped of the power to apparated in my own home, my wand was blocked of any contact to you. I would never escape, and even if I did, I would never find you'

'But in Diagon Alley, you were-?

'Mother and I were in Borgin & Burkes, and well you were...there' He sighed 'I couldn't contact you because of my wand, so I had to disappear but you, being your stubborn self, would not budge, and I couldn't let my mother, or the death-' He stopped  before taking a breath 'or fathers friends and colleuges see you, so I had to make a scene to distract them. I wouldn't dare harm you otherwise'. Hermione took a deep breath, it did make sense 'I'm sorry for what I said, Draco'. He finally looked at her, before smiling, weakly 'It's ok' He looked away, too much eye contact for him to handle, any longer and he would kiss her...'So, George, eh?' He smirked 'Didn't expect that'.

Hermione blinked a few times, almost forgetting about George...her own boyfriend 'Oh, yes, well that...happened' She sighed 'But I guess you don't want to talk about him, do you?'.

Draco stood up and turned to the window 'Do you love him?'. Hermione sighed and stood up beside him 'Ye..yes'. Draco gave out a small sigh, which broke Hermione's heart. He shook his head 'I think I better go to my chambers...um night, Granger'. His words sent shivers down Hermione's back. God she had missed him. But, although she wanted to run over to him, she simply supressed a small ''mm' in agreement to his last sentence. He made her knees wobble, he still had some demonnic control over her.

The next morning, Hermione woke with a start. Ginny had been trying to creep into Hermione's room, what for Hermione did not know, but as Ginny searched through her possesions, she had nocked over Hermione's empty trunk. Although it had nothing inside, the large trunk crashed to the floor with a loud BANG. Hermione, once her breathing had steadied, rubbed her eyes 'Ginny!'.

'I'm sorry, Hermione' She whispered 'I was just...it doesn't matter, you better get up any way, breakfast starts in 40minutes. Hermione jumped out of bed, she was normally dressed, changed and reading downstairs by now, but due to a lack of sleep, Hermione had finally closed her eyes later than usual, waking up, also, later than usual. After Ginny had finally left Hermione's room, Hermione quickly changed into her school robes, which ofcourse felt slightly odd. She remembered the day she had wished goodbye to them, and now, here she was, 2 years later, fully dressed in the same Gryfindoor uniform. She combed her hair and brushed her teeth, hoping that she look presenetable, because she had no doubt pupils would be asking her many questions.

Hermione sighed and walked down the cold cobble steps into the common room. 'Hermione' Ginny said running over to her 'The boys have already gone down for breakfast, they wanted to get down there before all the hastle'. Hermione understood and followed Ginny out of the common room. 'So...how was Draco last night?' Ginny smiled. Hermione shook her head and laughed, she hadn't expected anything less from her best friend 'We talked, then he just...left'. Ginny shrugged 'Not suprised, he was very tense before...'.

When arriving into the Great Hall, Hermione and Ginny were bombarded with pupils, yellling and cheering. Ginny laughed and waved to a few people who she knew in years below, Hermione however just quickly paced to Harry and Ron, facing her back to the other tables and sitting down to face the wall. 'Told you she wouldn't like it' Ron said, shoving toast down his throat. Harry chuckled and passed Hermione a goblet filled with pumpkin juice 'Here' He said 'Drink up'. Hermione raised her eyes brows 'Why are you saying it like you have put Felix Felicis in it?'. Felix Felicis, also known as Liquid Luck, was used to bring, as the name most obviously suggests, luck to the recipient. Harry had pretnended to use it on Ron, instead actually drinking it to investigate Professor Slughorn.

Hermione smiled at Harry and he shook his head 'No, I can't remember the method, and I used it all up, remember'. She was about to take a sip when she felt a small tap on her shoulder. She turned to see a small, brown haired boy. He was smiling and holding out a book of Hermione's great fondness; Hogwarts, A History. Hermione looked back at her friends, who were smiling, edging her on to speak up. She cleared her throat 'Umm...may I help you?'.

His eyes glowed as she spoke 'I...i'm a big fan of you...and your work!' He smiled 'I saw that...that article in the D-Daily Proph-Prophet and it said that your favourite book was...was this. So I bought...I bought you a copy...my dad owns a book shop and he said you can have it for free and-'

'I'm very grateful, but I already have a copy, new and old versions' Hermione said, but her felt a large kick to her leg from Hary as they noticed the boys shoulders dropped. 'Ok'  He whispered before turning around, but Hermione grabbed his arm 'I could sign it if you want, and you can keep it'

'Really?!'

'Really'  Hermione smiled taking out her quill 'What is your name?'

'Joseph Fiend' He smiled. So, after a momment of embarrasment, Hermione quickly wrote him a small note and handed it back. The boy squealed and ran back to his seat. 'Bloody hell' Ron said.

'What?'

'Fame has changed you' Everyone roared with laughter as Hermione, playfully, hit Ron with her arm. Soon they were silence by their Head Misteress, who stood behind Ginny and Hermione 'Oh Potter, Granger and...Weasleys' She felt baffled by the pronouncenations of the plural term she was so used to saying 'In you dormetries I have made sure that you have the equipment for your schooling' Ron let out a loud sigh 'If you, however...' She carried on 'Decide to attend every lesson. This year, as you have already finished your exams, you may be excused from day to day lesson, if you wish. But you are expected to attend at least 10 lessons a week. May it be 2 a day, or 2 days of a full 5 day lesson. Now, I do wish you could encourage Malfoy to attend his meals, I have been warned he is known to avoid eating...and no arguing'. She left with a turn of  her cloak.

'Blimey' Harry said 'It feels werid being back, just like how it felt a few years ago'. But little did Harry, or any of them know, they horrific event of those years, were soon to be replayed...
