Kat's POV

When I woke up Dom was gone. I assumed she had just gotten up to use the bathroom, or maybe she had left, considering it was the next morning. I instinctively checked my phone to see if she'd left me any messages. Instead of messages from Dom, I was greated with 6 from Ray.

Ray- "I've decided I'm done with you Kat."

Ray- "You are clearly at least bisexual but you won't admit it."

Ray- "I'm done with your bullshit."

Ray- "I'll get my things later today."

Ray- "The only time I'm talking to you again is for the divorce I'm filing for and when I come to your house to pick up my things."

Ray- "Fuck you"

I didn't know how to feel. I think I should be crying but I'm not, I'm upset but not that upset. I kept thinking about the messages I just read when I was snapped out of my thoughts by Dom yelling at me.

Dom: "KATHERINE FUCKING PAY ATTENTION TO ME"

Kat: "Geez sorry I was thinking, what's wrong?"

Dom: "What's wrong?!?! Seriously?! What's wrong is that you for some reason expect me to stay here with you. Well REALITY CHECK I have a life aside from you. I've got better things to do than take care of your sorry-ass. Bye."

She walks out of the house and slams the door behind her

W-what? I- I- I'm shaking so hard I can't talk or think or anything. I can't see anything, there's too many tears in my eyes, I'm balling and I can't stop. I need Dom I need her she can't just leave she can't she's Dom she's my Dom she's- 

I awake to Dom's voice telling me to wake up.

Dom: "Kat darling wake up wake up!"

Kat: *grogily* "What? What happened?"

Dom: "I think you had a nightmare, are you alright?"

I instantly remembered the hell I had just been through moments before.

Kat: "Oh my god you're still here! You didn't leave! Please don't leave me Dom please never leave me I need you so much I'd fall apart without you"

Kat beings to sob, wrapping her arms around Dom and digging her nails into Dom's back. Dom wraps her arms around Kat too and begins to rock her gently

Dom: *in a soothing tone* "Hey hey hey, I'm right here and I'm not going anywhere. It's okay, I'm okay, you're okay, we're okay. I'm not leaving you, I promise."

They sit like this for a while until Dom speaks again

Dom: "Is it okay if you told me what the nightmare was about or would it hurt too much to live through again?"

Kat: "Well as long as you're holding me, I guess I'll be okay if I live through it again to tell you."

Dom: "Okay I just want to make sure you'll be alright, that's my number 1 priority. You can start whenever you're ready."

Kat tells her what happened in the dream she just had

Dom: "I'm so sorry you had a terrible dream like that. I hope you know that I'm never leaving you. And that part that dream me said about having a life outside of you? Wrong. I have little things here and there but quite honestly Kat you're the most important thing in my life. You mean the world to me, you are the reason I smile. I've been told so many times that I look at you like you hung the stars in the sky, and for me, you may as well have. So I'm never leaving. No way in hell."

I didn't know what to say, she left me absolutely speechless. I was so overcome with emotions that I just collapsed into her arms and started crying again. I love her so much, I swear it feels like I'm home when I'm in her arms. I've never felt like that with Ray. Dom began to rock me again and I stopped crying. Then I just let her rock me for a bit. She was stroking my hair and occasionally kissing my head. I looked out the window and I noticed it was still dark outside.

Kat: "Hey Domi what time is it?"

Dom: *looks at her phone* "1:27 am."

Kat: "Yikes I'm sorry I woke you up."

Dom: "Hey don't worry about it, I'd much rather comfort you than sleep."

Kat looks up at Dom and smiles. Dom smiles back

Kat: "Well I feel better now, we should get some sleep. Can I use your chest as a pillow?"

Dom: "Do you even have to ask? Of course."

Kat lays on top of Dom and snuggles into her upper chest. They wrap their arms around each other and Dom kisses the top of Kat's head

Kat: "Goodnight Domi, I love you."

Dom: "Goodnight, I love you too Kat. *whispers* So much."
