What Is YOUTH..?
KJV is a kind of Quick Version of Bible that uses one word to mean so many things. Like when King Saul referred to David as "Youth" in 1Samuel 17:33 "And Saul said to David, though art not able to go against this Philistine to fight him: for thou are but a Youth, and he a Man of war from his Youth"
David was only a boy or in his childhood state then. Even though he had so much experiences on the field by killing bears and lion because the word Youth has nothing to do with Age but the State.
Regarding Goliath, he says ".. and he a man of war FROM HIS YOUTH.." Meaning Goliath wasn't a warrior until a certain stage of his life. Saul was more concern because little David hasn't even gotten to that stage. David was still busy taking care of his Dad's sheep. Modern day English would probably refer to David as Dad's pet *smile*
YOUTH is "And when the Morning arose.. Genesis 19:15 KJV, Youth means DAWN. Simply put, Youth is the Prime of one's life.
You can be a Father without no knowledge about what it means to be a father but anyway you're a proudly Father! So also someone can be in the Dawn or Prime of his life without any knowledge about his state of life.
Goliath was so blessed that at the Prime of his life which is the Day he join Soldiers, he became a Warrior! That's what Saul was explaining to David.
