Then the Lord opened the donkey's mouth, and it said to Balaam, "What have I done to you to make you beat me these three times?" (Numbers 22:28 NIV)
After enough persuasion from a King called Balak to the Prophet of God Balaam to curse the Children of God, the Prophet decided to go with the King.
God needed to get the attention of the Prophet so he can pass information about where he's heading too but he wouldn't listen.
Then, God decided to open the mouth of the donkey. God is a Master Communicator!
Everyone know that animals don't speak but here, God permit it in order to lead the Balaam in the right track.
Book of Hebrews testified to these..
"In the past God spoke to our ancestors through the prophets at many times AND IN VARIOUS WAYS, but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom also he made the universe. (Hebrews 1:1, 2 NIV)
The challenge we have is that we're too parrotic; talking too much, yet we don't listen or see signs and that's why we keep on falling victim. We took signs and God's word for granted.
God is still saying something today! And when the Prophets speak, the wise listen.
Learn from Proverbs:
"The prudent see danger and take refuge, but the simple keep going and pay the penalty. (Proverbs 22:3 NIV)
