"Where's Reece?" I asked and she smirked.
"He's busy" she said curtly.
"I want to speak with him" I said narrowing my eyes.
"I'm sorry,you can't,we have things to do and we don't need bimbos like you disturbing us" she said and I was about to attack her when Reece showed up from behind her with a tape around his neck and glasses on.
"What is going on?" he asked a little frustrated.
"I wanted to tell you that I was ready to go and your secretary here or whoever she is, won't allow me talk to you"
"That's not true sir,I was just trying to explain that you were busy and she started calling me names".She said with puppy dog eyes and he raised his eyebrow at me.That slimy little thing.
"Do you really believe her?" I asked
"Enough!,Jane tell Austin to bring my keys and you, go back to our project" He said to Jane.
"What project?"Why did he have a project with her?
"I don't think that's any of your business Ava" He said walking past me and I scoffed.That was hurtful.Especially in front of that little chipmunk that was smirking at me.
I caught up with Reece,who just entered his car. I entered it and he started driving ,leaving an awkward silence swimming between us. I needed to speak.So I did,when we arrived at my house. The car came to a stop and I could tell that Reece was waiting for me to get out.
"Well?"he said and I turned to him.
"Okay Reece,what's up with you?. You've been acting weird all evening. I thought you'd want to hear my answer concerning the question you asked me in your note"
"Forget about it" he simply said and there and then my heart came crashing into pieces.A tear threatened to fall from my eye but I didn't allow it.
"I should forget about it?"I whispered and he didn't answer but just stared straight ahead "Reece what's up with you?,you're not like this. What's wrong-".I said and he looked at me.
"You really want to know what's wrong?"he said and I moved back a little, because of how serious he looked but I still nodded and he laughed humorously.
"WHAT'S WRONG IS THE FACT THAT YOU TRIED TO KILL YOURSELF, AVA"He said and that was definitely not what I was expecting.
"What do you mean?"I asked and he scoffed
"You know Exactly what I mean "He said a little angrier. "YOU ENTERED A FREAKING ROLLER COASTER ON AN EMPTY STOMACH?!WHO DOES THAT?.I KEPT ASKING YOU WHAT WAS WRONG AND YOU KEPT LYING TO MY FACE AND AS IF GOING TO THE HOSPITAL WASN'T ENOUGH FOR YOU,YOU STILL DON'T EAT YOUR FREAKING FOOD!".He said and my eyes widened.
"Oh you thought I won't find out?.I saw you playing with your food earlier on today.The doctor told me that you didn't have any food in your system and that you lost so much blood.The blood part still remains a mystery to me.What were you trying to do Ava!,KILL YOURSELF?!!.He said you could have died" he whispered the last part and I could see his eyes glisten with water and that broke my heart "I deserved to at least know. I could have helped".He said but I didn't speak.
"So forget about the question because I don't think I want to be in a relationship with someone who doesn't trust me enough to open up to me.Someone who lies to my face over and over again and someone who is selfish enough to try to kill herself despite the fact that she knows it would crush me beyond recovery if she goes". He said looking forward. "Please leave.I just need to get myself together.I'll see you tomorrow with your medicines". He said and I came down.He drove off when I entered my house.I walked straight to my room and laid down on the bed.My mind couldn't comprehend what had just happened.
