The following day,my mom and I went to the bridal store to pick up the dress that I ordered online.
“Hi,Please I came to try on that dress I reserved online" I said to the lady at the counter.
“Your name , Please?” she said.
“Avalyn Samuels” I said and she surfed through her computer.
“I'm sorry Miss Samuels but the dress is gone, a lady came in, not too long ago and asked for that particular dress at a higher price".She said and I widened my eye.
“What do you mean, A lady came and took it?. We reserved the dress online for crying out loud.” My mom yelled.
“She offered double the price ma'am.I’m sorry”
“You-" My mum said
“Mum!,calm down” I said to my mum and then turned to back to the receptionist with a smile “We understand.We would be on our way now. Thank you.” My mum and I left the store.
“Now What? .why on earth would someone want to take the exact dress you reserved and offer to take more for it?”.
“I don't know mum. Please take me to Reece’s apartment". She nodded and dropped me off at Reece’s apartment. I knocked on his door and he opened it.
“Ava” he said with a smile and I walked past him and sunk myself into the couch.
“Okay?. What's wrong?" he asked and I opened my eyes.
“I'm exhausted.My mom and I have been going wedding dress scouting since and they kept giving us excuses”. I whined.
“Why have you been going wedding dress scouting?” he asked and I raised my eyebrow.
“Umm, because I need a dress?”.
“Have you forgotten that your husband-to-be is a fashion designer?”
“Reece, you can't design or make my wedding dress for me. It's supposed to be a surprise".
“I can't but!. I have the best designers in the world that can. A special wedding dress for a Special girl. Relax I'll get someone to handle that and I promise, I won't peep” He said and I sighed.
“What would I do without you?" i asked rhetorically and he smiled.
“Now have some rest. We've got everything covered”. He said sitting down next to me.
"I've missed you"He said and I smiled.

“ I have something for you” Reece said as we entered his company. “But it's a surprise, so you'll need to close your eyes.”He said. I brought out the bandana he gave me on our first date for him to use. He raised his eyebrow.
“I won't even ask”.He brought out his hand and I put the bandana in it.He gently tied it around my eyes and led the way.
“We're here”He untied the bandana and I was met with ten eyes directed to me.There were men and women in suits seated in what looked like a boardroom.
“Ladies and Gentlemen ,I'd like to introduce you to my fiancée,Ava Samuels. Ava,these are my partners and investors.” He introduced and I greeted them. He offered me a seat and gestured for us to look towards the front of the room.There were two items in front of us that were covered.
“Without further delay,I would like to introduce you to our new products”He took of the cover and I was met with my dress and my perfume.” He then ushered me to stand up.
“What are you doing?” I whispered when I stood beside him and he ignored me.
“Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome our newest designer and partner,Ava Samuels” I couldn't believe it,it had always been my dream for my work to be recognized by Sebastian Shore and now,not only was I one of the designers,but a partner!”I looked at Sebastian as he dismissed the people and said his goodbyes.Once they all left,His eyes landed on me and his mouth curled up in a shy smirk.I ran to him and hugged him tight. I Squeezed him so much,that I was afraid he was going to explode.
“Wow Av,I'm glad you like it”.He said , nervously.
“Like it?...I love it”I said “Thank you” I smiled and he nodded. I examined the items again but what really caught my eye ,was the perfume.It wasn't in the tacky spray bottle I originally put it in.No,it was in an emerald crystal-like bottle and the name… The name written on it was Bird and Grace . Reece came behind me and wrapped his hands around me.
“Bird” I whispered softly.
“Yes”He said and I turned around to face him.
“My name?” I asked and he nodded.I then looked at the other name ,Grace.I looked up at Reece as a tear slipped from my eyes.
“Grace…...My Sister's name?” I asked and he nodded.”But...h-how how did you know?” Bird was the meaning of my name and Grace was the meaning of my twin sister’s name.She had disappeared a few years ago along with my dad and I missed her so much.I missed both of them so much.
“Your mum told me so much about her” He said, looking into my eyes. “Heyy... Don't cry, She'll come back”He assured me and I nodded.
“Come on,You must be hungry, let's go”He said “Bacon Sandwich?” He said and I smiled.He knew me too well.
