“Sh-she was the one I was talking about.My bully,Sierra Nevada.” Immediately I said it, Reece stood up and flipped the stool over. He whispered “Sierra!” and placed ran his hand over his face and then looked at me.
“Stay.away.from.her.Ava...Please"He said to me and I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion.
“Why do you keep saying I should stay away from her?.I mean I know she's mean, but Why?” I asked.
“She's dangerous, Ava. She's not just mean but dangerous. Crazy".
“You sound like you know her very well" I said and he sighed.
“Because I do" he said.
“What do you mean you do?. How do you know her?”
“She is my ex. The ex I was telling you about” He said and my eyes widened.
“She’s your ex?!." I said "Why is your ex still coming to see you? Who broke up with who?” I said and Reece shook his head.
“You don't understand,that's not the point Ava" I knew I should have been more worried at the fact that she was crazy but I was curious.
“Then make me understand. Who broke up with who?” I said again and he sighed.
“I broke up with her".
“Then why is she still around?.She seems clingy to me. I don't think the breakup was a two-sided decision. If not, she would stop following you everywhere and telling you that she wants to see you. See you for what?!”.I said and he looked at me in disbelief.
"You know what?. I'd stay away from her if you stay away from her” I said
“I can't”he said and my heart broke.
“What do you mean you can't. I thought you want to get married to me."
“I do.It's just that I literally can’t kick her out. Believe me I've tied but, but it didn't end up well"
“Oh my Gosh Reece".
“Don't you trust me?. If I wanted to marry her I won't have proposed to you".
“I trust you.It's just her,that I do not trust . She ruined my life before and I'm afraid that she might try to do it again" I said and tears filled my eyes.
“Come here" Reece said pulling me and comforting me “Look , I'd make sure she doesn't. That was in the past. You have me now,You're not alone.” He said and I nodded . He wiped my tears away.
“Why do you still keep her around?I'm just curious.It's obvious that you don't like her.”
“S-She's suicidal" he said and my eyes widened “Every time I tried to shut her out of my life completely, she attempted suicide.I mean, it's not entirely her fault. She's just being the monster that the world and herself,made her to be.Besides, she was my first love, I cared for her. I can't just be brutal to her ".
“What do -"
“Enough with the questions please. Don't let Sierra change our mood.Come on we have to get to my godmother's house.You know I still haven't told her that I've gotten myself a beautiful, strong, charming, flawless and breathtaking wife” He said and I blushed.
“There's that smile I love” he said.
“We'll discuss it later,I didn't even know you had a godmother. why didn't she come yesterday?".
“She had a patient she had to attend to.So she was out of town for a while. Come on, she would love you. I've told her so much about you and I'm really excited to let her know that I proposed and you said Yes!”Reece said excitedly.
“”Wow, she must really be important to you".
“More than. She's like a mother to me.Come on, let's go".
