15 years ago.....

10 year old taehyung put down the book he was reading when their 'visitors' arrived. he sighed and looked over his parents that were standing up to greet the guests. the young boy lazily stood up, yawning.

he was expecting another business man because his parents owned a successful company.

"the han family! thank you for coming!" miss kim squealed as she hugged the visitors.

taehyung bowed his head slightly but something—no, someone caught his attention.

he stared at the five year old girl who was wearing a red dress with black shoes, tugging on her father's sleeves.

young taehyung tilted his head as her gaze met his.

she's so cute.

taehyung almost let out a smile at the cuteness of the young girl but shook his head.

no, you hate cute.

but then, his gaze dropped to her again and he almost lost his control then just pinch her red cheeks when she smiled at him.

and then, the corner of his lips tugged up.

surprising him and their parents.

"awww, taehyungie, meet y/n. she's our friend's daughter." his mom said and pushed his back slightly for him to step forward.

"meet our little angel, taehyung-ah." y/n's mother excitedly said and pulled her daughter forward.

the little girl smiled widely at taehyung and he did as well.

it wouldn't hurt to make a younger friend, right?

y/n lend out her little hands, smiling widely. young taehyung's hands met hers and they both giggled.

"i-i'm y/n-nie!" she introduced.

"i'm taetae." he said and smiled.

both of the family gathered on the dining table, taking their dinner while the whole room filled laughters.

when it was time for the han family to leave as their little girl was already yawning on her father's arms. they bid good byes as all their lips were sealed with smiles.

since then, both of the families usually gather for dinner and the kids would play either in the room or in the garden.

taehyung's parents saw his improvement in smiling more and they felt happy.

the kids became closer than ever that they even closed their pinkies together, smiling at each other.

"taetae!"

"y/n-ie!"

"forever friends!" they giggled while their parents watched from apar, admiring their own child.

"look at our heirs, will they work together in the future? like when they already have our companies?" miss kim asked as she watched her son.

"of course, they're forever friends, after all." they all laughed.

as time went by, both of the families spend time together, making more memories and smiles plastered on their faces.

but who thought these smiles won't last forever?

it was their normal day for a dinner and they decided to make barbeque at the kim's backyard.

kids were playing while the parents were busy preparing.
