"Wake up!Wake up!"someone yelled excitedly over her head while someone else jumped up and down on her bed.She groaned in annoyance as she was interrupted from her sweet slumber.Removing the blanket from her face and glaring at the light that was falling from her open window she saw two bright faces looking down at her.

"She woke up!"Lila gasped as she tagged on her brother and they ran out of the room.

"Good morning to you too then."she mumbled confused.Rubbing the remaining sleep off of her eyes she groggily got up from her bed.She walked out of her room with a loud yawn escaping her mouth.What was all the fuss about?She slowly made her way down the stairs only to stop when see saw all her family together.With a cake on their hands.

"Happy Birthday Valerie!"they all yelled with Lila and Cooper saying it more loudly than her parents.

"It's already that day?"she smiled as she walked closer to them.

"Make a wish,sweetie."her mother smiled at her as she had her arm wrapped around her father whom was holding the cake.

She closed her eyes and thought for a few seconds.One more adventure.She then blew the candles that had the number 21 on top.Clapping followed."Thank you guys."she gave hugs around everyone before she got leg hugs from her siblings.

"After lunch you all are allowed one slice!"her mother exclaimed as she took the cake from her father.Valerie shot her father a look which said that the two of them weren't having just one slice.He winked at her before following his wife to the kitchen.

Lila and Cooper had dragged her then to the couch and sat her down while they took their places on the floor."It's present time!"Lila voiced loudly as she pulled a paper from behind her back.It was folded in an odd way but it gave the idea that it was a drawing.She took it in her hands and carefully opened it.

Her lips parted into a huge grin.A figure that appeared to be her in a big dress dancing was there along with huge letters saying 'Happy Birthday Valerie!'.Her hand writing still not clear enough and her 'p's being backwards.She smiled down at her."Dad said you had to look like a princess,so I painted a dress!"

"Thank you Lils.I'm going to put it in my room."she folded it back carefully.

"My turn!"Cooper exclaimed as he got up from his spot and sprinted up the stairs before coming down again with a small box on his hands.He sat down on the floor again and handed it to her.Carefully she opened the small box to reveal a black string.In it's end a small silver arrow hang with her name curved on the back."Dad helped me make it.I made the string!"he grinned up at her showing the teeth he was missing.

"Thank you,Coop.I'm going to wear it now."she smiled down at the two as she pulled it over her head and let it fall on her chest.She then got up and sat on the floor taking both of her siblings in her arms."You're the best!Thank you so much!"she exclaimed as she placed a kiss on each of their heads,squeezing them.They both let out giggles.Oh how she loved it when she could hear them laugh.

Lila then got up and run to the radio, positioned on top of a counter,turning it on.Music filled the room quickly.Cooper quickly run to her side as the two started to dance to the music that was playing.Valerie laughed as she watched the two younger members of the family jump up and down to the rhythm.They held hands and tried to do the move dad used to do when dancing which resembled a disco dancer but at the same time someone who was trying to shuffle.It didn't take her much thought to get up and join them.

They twirled around in the living room listening to the music and singing along as much of the lyrics as they knew.They jumped on the couch and did a small train,and then since they wore socks they slid across the wooden floor.Giggles and laughs filled the room.Only to be stopped when her father stood there.
