"Hey,wake up."someone said over her head as they shook her softly.Still hazy from her sleep and confusion, her mind did a flashback.

She almost thought she was back home. Her siblings jumping on her bed to wake her up and then running off to go eat their breakfast, with their bright smiles on.Her mother's cooking would travel around the house and her father would be listening to radio or reading his newspaper while he munched on his food.

But she wasn't home. She was in a hotel.

Natasha was standing above her with a small smile."Morning."

"Mornin'."the redhead said back."Go freshen up,we have to go."she nodded her chin to the bathroom before moving around the room, fixing her stuff.

"Go where?"Valerie asked as a yawn followed. She quickly got up from the bed, stretching her arms over her head.A loud pop making her slightly moan in pain.

"I'll tell you on the road."She replied quickly with her back on her.Valerie nodded even though she knew Natasha wouldn't see her.She was too tired to worry just yet about anything. She made her way to the bathroom and splashed a good amount of water on her face.It definitely did the job.Better than coffee.

As that thought passed through her brain she wondered about Christopher.Last time she had seen him he was on the jet, telling her to be careful when looking for Nick.He did attempt to come with her but she insisted on him staying back since he wouldn't be able to fight,he was only a doctor and defending himself wasn't his thing.

She sighed softly as she raised her gaze to look at the spotless mirror. Her eyes weren't as red as she had imagined but her cheeks were flashed and her right one still had the shape of the pillow she slept on.She combed her fingers through her hair to at least make those presentable as she exited the bathroom.Natasha was just pulling on a jacket.

"How are you feeling?"she asked as she slightly turned towards her.Valerie shrugged her shoulders.

"Alright I guess."she simply replied as she awkwardly sat there not knowing how to help the redhead. As in cue the other female passed her a black backpack.

"Bow and arrows."she simply replied at the look of confusion across Valerie's face."Clint has some good ways to hide his stuff, yours weren't so difficult."Valerie frowned lightly.

"I didn't knew he taught you as well those things."she then was given a jacket and a hat.

"It's just like Budapest."Natasha shrugged one shoulder.

"But you and him remember that place differently."Valerie replied as she threw on the jacket, zipping it half way.Natasha turned to side smirk at her.

"Exactly."she said as she motioned for her to wear her hat and backpack. In a mutter of minutes they were back into her car and hitting the road.

"Why are we back at the hospital?"Valerie asked Natasha quietly as they moved down the hallway were Nick's operating had taken place the night before.
Apparently the whole I'll tell you on the road thing didn't even happen since Natasha was deadly quiet.

"Steve is hiding something from me and I need to find out what it is.He knows something about Nick."replied the redhead, her eyes forward.Valerie held back herself from gulping loudly. He wasn't the only one lying to her.She was as well.

The topic hadn't come to her yet since she hadn't mentioned anything as well. And apparently no one did say anything about her being at Steve's house along with Nick.Everyone thought it was her but at the same time they didn't since they didn't have a picture of her face. But Natasha wasn't informed about the whole picture apparently. This was so complicated and she was only missing from home for a couple of days.
