Back at the jet with now only Christopher and the pilot she was free of her hood and half mask. She never thought that this adventure she had wished for,for her birthday would be so small and nerve wracking. They were going to stay at DC for one night only and then Christopher would take her back home.Joy."You don't look happy."

"What gave it away?"Valerie asked miserably. She was sitting low on her seat with her arms crossed in front of her chest and legs slightly apart as she frowned and sighed constantly at the wall of the jet.

Her mind had been running with questions and instead of feeling scared she felt pissed, angry even. The things Alexander told her didn't made sense.Yes it would be only logical to ask someone of their identity since they hid behind masks and had zero information but why now?Did this had to do anything with Project Insight that Nick mentioned? It's been two years and nobody asked for her, maybe her father was right to not go on another mission together.

All those things made her sigh heavily again."Will a cup of coffee make you feel better?"Christopher asked beside her rubbing his hands in a nervous way.His actions were so easy to read,it was almost adorable. She turned to look at him his green eyes full of hope.

"I don't drink coffee..."she started, his face changing from hopeful to sad in a matter of seconds."But a milkshake would do the thing."she shrugged her one shoulder smiling at him.She was glad someone was there to change her mood but also she felt embarrassed since he just asked her for a date.Could she call it a date though?

"Milkshake!Got it!Okay there's this nice coffee shop downtown DC and it has a full view of the city from its roof."Christopher spoke while making quick moves with his hands."We could go now or later today if you would like.No pressure!Night view is definitely better. But we need to schedule because I'm needed back in the lab."he finished while rubbing the back of his neck.

She giggled as she sat up better on her seat.Okay yes he was adorable. She was ready to reply to him when her pants started to move.Or more likely the phone Nick had gave her.The screen flashed with the familiar F and she quickly pressed the green button bringing the phone to her ear.Her eyes widened when the first thing she heard was gunshots.

"Valerie!"he yelled.

"Nick? What is happening? Are those gunshots I hear?"she asked quickly,Christopher perking up quickly beside her.

"No,I'm having a nice walk on my garden!"the man said as the screech of his wheels and more gunshots were heard in the background along with sirens. She rolled her eyes at his sarcasm."I'm being chased down!"he exclaimed before groaning.

"Where are you?"she got up from her seat and run to the front of the jet, watching outside the big windows.

"The main road,"he groaned once more again with gunshots sounding more closely now along with glass breaking."Help from upstairs would be appreciated! My car is breaking down!"he exclaimed."Well, what's not damaged?"he asked again, which weirded Valerie.

"Air conditioning is fully operational."said another voice. Was his car talking?

"Go to the main road."Valerie said to the pilot. The man turned confused to her and looked back at Christopher.

"Do as she says!"exclaimed the blond beside her.

"Why are they chasing you?"Valerie asked Nick, forgetting the fact that she had just heard his car talk,as she moved to the back of the jet.

"The hell if I know, but I can't think straight while being shot!"more sirens and screetching of wheels along with crashing was heard.Valerie pushed the eject button on the side of the jet and the gate lowered.A gush of air pushed her hair back, while the bright sun blinded her for a couple of seconds. The main road was in front of her.Choas all over.
