It had been a few hours since they had left from their departure point and sleep had already consumed her. After the fight with her father she didn't sleep at all, adrenaline had filled her veins when Nick called her.She just couldn't wait to get away for a few days and clear her mind.
When she woke up she noticed the first few rays of sunlight seeping through the horizon. When she left her house she had made sure it was well after midnight and everyone was asleep. This kind of reminded her that night two years ago.So many things actually reminded her those events. But now it was different.
Noticing the small crew around her, everyone was awake and looking out of the window to the big city coming into view. She still had no idea what she needed to do when she got there but hopefully Nick would be able to guide her through this.
"Good morning."Christopher said beside her and she turned surprised to look at him.She was so consumed on watching the sunrise she had forgotten about him.
"Morning."she replied with a small smile, her cheeks turning pink,as she had just realized she was leaning against him.She cleared her throat while sitting up."Where are we?"she asked ready to take more information to get herself ready.
"Just a few yards away from Washington DC!"said the pilot from the front of the jet.
"You get to see one of the original S.H.I.E.L.D.'s HQ from up close. Not like the helicarrier."Christopher commented as he zipped his leather jacket up."Actually much better."
"Sounds interesting."Valerie smiled.
"So,how good are you with dramatic entrances?"Valerie threw him a confused look,as she titled her head on the side.

"Oh my God that was awesome!"she yelled loudly as she landed on her feet. The man behind her unhooking her from him and the now fallen parachute. The rush this jump gave her was incredible, she was filled with adrenaline once more."When are we doing this again?"
When Christopher mentioned dramatic entrances she thought they would just burst into the building wearing black sunglasses and look cool. But for her surprise he had arranged them to do a free jump with parachutes from the jet to the front of the Triskelion, one of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s original HQ.
"What, jump from up there?"Christopher asked as he pointed to the sky with his eyebrows furrowed.Valerie nodded excitedly as she fixed her hair from the wild ride. The landing point of jets was further away from the HQ so in order to get there quicker they had to jump with parachutes."Not soon that's for sure."he laughed lightly before giving his parachute belt back to Agent Gabbs.
Valerie though was sure to try it again. Many people said that doing this for the first time was always terrifying but she was absolutely stunned with the beauty this place showed.Plus she was fighting aliens while standing on a higher building two years ago so this was a child's play. The sky was clear and the sun bright and warm.A perfect spring morning.
Christopher exchanged a few words with some people that were there when they had landed and then turned back to her."Wear this please."she handed her a cloth which she guessed as a half face mask."Director's orders."he winked at her lightly like he knew a joke that Nick apparently told him to tell her but didn't exactly got.
She wore the mask that covered her whole mouth and part of her nose the same time Agent Zhang approached her with her bow and arrows. She thanked him and turned back to Christopher while fixing herself."Now it's time for the dramatic entrance."he added as he approached her once more and pulled the hood of her vest over her head, pulling her close to him."Try not to impress them much, you're a target and that's dangerous."he whispered quietly before patting her shoulder softly and moving away.
