In a matter of minutes the five of them were back in Sam's car driving back to S.H.I.E.L.D.'s base.
Valerie was on edge ever since she heard what HYDRA was planning to do to the people that were a threat to them and she wasn't happy. At all.It gave her chills.
"HYDRA doesn't like leaks."Sitwell complained from his seat. She was glad Natasha chose to sit in the middle so she was away from him.
"So why don't you try sticking a cork in it."Sam snapped at the man sitting in the back.
"Insight's launching in sixteen hours,we're cutting it a little bit close here."Natasha said as she leaned towards the two males sitting in the front.
"I know. We'll use him to bypass the DNA scans and access the Helicarriers directly."Steve agreed as he kept his eyes straight to the road.
"What?!Are you crazy?That is a terrible,terrible idea."Valerie rolled her eyes.There he went again,
complaining once more.Suddenly something fell on the roof of the car making a slight dent.A hand broke through the car's window, breaking the glass into tiny pieces while it pulled Sitwell out of his seat and into the road. There would be no chance he could be alive.Valerie moved as close to the door of the car as she could as the person who was on the car-seeing as a hand pulled the agent out-was shooting at them with a gun.Natasha had leaped from her seat on the back, straddling Steve on the front.
The car screeched into a stop and the person on top of the car was thrown at the street sliding across it.His metal arm stopping him from going any further. It was him.The Winter Soldier.Valerie's mouth gaped terrified at the man who was slowly getting up.
If HYDRA wanted the people that were a threat dead then the only way to get their hands clean and not fingers pointed at them was him.The same way they killed Nick. The same way they would do to her.Crap.
Natasha raised her own gun ready to shoot at the man only for another car to crash behind them pushing them forward.Making Valerie's body hit the front seat. She groaned in pain as last night's wounds were still not healed.
As they were pushed the Winter Soldier jumped again on their car.Sam on the front seat desperately trying to stop the vehicle. His metal arm broke through the front window and literally pulled the wheel out.The hell??
"Shit!"Sam yelled.Natasha tried to shoot him with her gun but nothing happened. The car was out of control and yet the one behind them kept crushing on their back.
"Hang on!"Steve yelled as he held Natasha.Sam reached back and pulled Valerie's body out as Steve hit the door with all his strength and they all flew across the street with the car flipping away from them.Sam and Valerie rolled for a while across the street while Steve and Natasha slid on the car's broken door.
Valerie groaned in pain as she took shelter behind a stopped car.An explosion followed along with screams.Valerie had already lost Steve from her view and Natasha soon joined her side behind the car as guns went off behind them. What was she doing now??She only had arrows and a portion of knowledge in martial arts!Damn for not thinking of getting more weapons.
She soon enough lost Natasha and Sam as well. She was alone.Joy.She pulled her folded bow from her belt and gave it a shake. It unfolded and she quickly reached for an arrow, shooting it straight to a guy.She fell back behind the car again, readying another arrow. She rose and fired again, hitting another guy.
Small silence fell after that with only a few gunshots. She recognized them as Natasha's.She quickly peeked slightly from the car she was hiding. The Winter Soldier was sitting on the ground. From here she could see his body was larger than hers, she didn't hold a chance against him.His brown hair fell below his chin as a black mask covered his nose and mouth. He was wearing goggles as well only to pull them out sharply. Not a good sign.
