Who Was My Mother?

Chapter 9

15 years and 11months earlier.

Author's POV

Olivia gad been in the hospital for about a month now. The chemo was helping her, and the doctors said that one of the small tumors in her breast was gone. But the chemo also weakened her. She looked pale, and had lost weight since she didn't have much of an apetite. The chemo also had an effect on her hair, which didn't have much volume left, and she had lost some of it...

Casey still had Noah. Offcurse when she had to work, someone else watched him. Sometimes Alex, Melinda or Amanda, and othertimes Nick, Fin, Munch or even Cragen from time to time.

It was visiting time again at the hospital. It was 5 o'clock in the afternoon.

Casey, Alex, Melinda and Noah came to visit.

"Hi Liv. How are you feeling?" Melinda asked, putting Noah next to his mother on the bed.

"Not the best.. But the doctor said that one of the tumors in my breast is gone, so it's going the right way."

"So, what do you wish for tomorrow?" Alex asked. "Eh what do you mean?" Olivia asked confused.

"You forgot? Sweetie it's your birthday tomorrow!" Casey laughed.

"Oh god, I haven't thought about it at all! Really guys, I don't really wish for anything except getting healthy again, so I can come home to Noah!"

"Okay, well, we'll come and visit you offcourse! Noah's really starting to talk by the way. He keeps calling mama in the morning. He misses you! He's also saying 'hungry' 'visit' and 'vuw you'! He's so adorable!" Casey said smiling at the little kid.

"I'm so glad that I have such good friends!" Olivia said thankfully, while hugging her babyboy. "How's it going with your pregnancy?" Liv asked Casey. The others already knew, so now they could actually talk about it. And you could see it now too. She was two months along, so there was a little bump.

"It's going great! I had a doctors apointment yesterday where I got my first ultrasound. See!" She said, handing Olivia a picture of the little infant in her belly. Olivia got tears in her eyes, "I'm so happy for you and Benjamin! You're gonna be the best parents!"

"I hope so, atleast I know a little bit of how it is, by watching your little munckin!" She smiled.

Well, the visiting hour had passed rather quickly, and the had to go home now. Olivia kissed Noah, and then just layed in her bed thinking about him after they left. Well him, and this one other man who was always on her mind...

*next morning*

"Happy birthday to you, happy birthay to you, happy biirthdaaay dear Olivia.. Haaapppy biiirthdaay tooooo yooouuuu!"

Olivia woke up from the birthday song. She was really touched, everyone was there. Noah, Cragen, Nick, Fin, Amanda, Alex, Munch, Casey and Benjamin. They all had presents, and a cake was there too, and cupcakes!! Olivia loved cupcakes!

"Morning guys! You really surprised me there!"

"Happy birthday Liv!" Alex smiled, hugging Olivia and handing her a present. It was a new Iphone, since Liv's was broken. "Oh my god, thank you so mich Alex! That's way too much!" Alex just laughed.

Everyone gave Olivia presents, even though she didn't ask for any.

Nick and Fin split a gift. They gave her a laptop, so she had something to do at the hospital. She was so happy about it.

Munch gave her several crime and mystery books, which he also was very glad about. Cragen gave her a box of chocolate and lots of other candy and sweets. "I had no idea what to buy!" He laughed. Olivia loved sweets so she was very happy. Amanda gave her a basket of cupcakes, candy and several magazines. Melinda gave her a pair of earrings and a black t-shirt with the word 'Fighter' written in white.

Casey and Benjamin gave her the movies "The Holiday", "Chasing Liberty" "The Fault In Our Stars" and "Pretty Women", all movies that Olivia loved, but didn't own.

"Thank you guys! I love all the presents! This is way too much!!" Olivia said happy. Noah was playing with Olivia's hair. "Oh wait! Noah's gift, I forgot! There you go!" Casey said, handing Olivia a little gift. "What's this now?" Olivia asked striking Noah's hair. "Open up!" Alex laughed.

It was the first picture of Noah and Olivia together, franed in a beautiful picture frame. There also was a beautifull necklace, with the word 'Fearlessness' written. Olivia was touched too tears. She hugged and kissed her little boy, and then thanked the others.

They all sat down on chairs and started eating cake.

"How long do you have untill the nurse will come?" Olivia asked realizing that visiting hour must be over. "No worries. The nurse said we could stay all day if we wanted since it's your birthday.

They ate and talked for about an half an hour when there was a knock on the door.

"Did you invite someone else?" Olivia asked confused.

"Yeah, I told someone to come.." Fin said.

"Come in." Olivia said even though she didn't know who it was. She was hoping it was him, but she didn't want to get her hopes all up, and she didn't even know what to say to him.. But it probably wasn't him..

The door opened. Everyone just stared at him.

"Uhmm.. Happy birthday Liv" he said.

No one said anything.

Then Olivia pulled herself together.

"Elliot."
