Author's POV
The rest of Olivia's birthday wasn't as cheerfull as before. When Olivia had pulled herself together, the rest of the squad came back in. They talked and ate and laugh for hours, but Olivia's eyes had a sad look, no matter how much she tried to hide it with laughter it didn't work..
It was about seven o'clock when they left. Olivia was exhausted, but she hid it from her friends.
"Thank you for all the presents and cakes! I couldn't ask for better friends!" Olivia smiled when she hugged everyone. At last she picked up Noah and hugged him tightly. He was going home with Melinda, and Fin was gonna watch him the next days.
"No problem Liv! You should get some rest now. I'll see you the day after tomorrow. Byee!" Alex said and hugged her again before taking Noah and leaving.
Olivia went straight to bed. Not to sleep, but to think.
How could Elliot come back just like that? After four years he came back, and told her he loved her. What did he expect? That she would run towards him and kiss him or what? Four years can change alot.
How did it even happen? Partners, best friends. They told each other everything. When he got divorced, Olivia was there to support him. When Olivia was looking for her brother he supported her. And then one day he was just gone. Without a goodbye. Nothing.
And now he's back. Fin had told him about her. She had no idea why. She had to call him. Fin that is.
{'Hi Fin, it's Olivia.'}
{hi Liv, is everything alright?'}
{Yeah, I'm fine. Fin, why did you call Elliot? Have you been in contact with him the whole time?'}
{'No, I tracked him down two or three months ago, called and left a message. We talked a few times and he asked about you, so I told him about you being sick. He wanted to come right away, but I convinced him to wait. It was his call to come at your birthday. Said he had something important to tell you?.'}
{Yeah, he did...'}
{'what did you answer?'}
{'you know what he asked?'}
{'come on Liv, everyone can tell that you love each other. Give the guy a chance.'}
{'he left Fin.'}
{'True. But don't forget. He came back!'}
