Today, she's supposed to tell me who she's chosen.
I've never been so nervous and anxious in my life.
And my job is to play on stage for thousands of people a night.
I know I said Lulu wouldn't lose me no matter who she chose, but it'd just be nice to hear she chose me.
I've loved this girl for four years, I'm not letting her slip away to some lowlife who doesn't treat her like the princess she is.
"I love you." I whispered into her neck as I cuddled into her.
"I love you too." She whispered back.
"Can we just stay like this forever, babe?" I asked.
"I wish, but I got go to work." Lulu mumbled.
"Work can wait." I said stubbornly.
"I wish it could." She whispered.
"When do you get out of work?" I asked.
"I leave the office at five, have a client at five thirty, and I'm needed for a shoot at six thirty. So like seven thirty, eight." Lulu said.
"That's late, Lu." I said.
"How do you think I feel?" She asked.
"Busy. But that's twelve hours without you, sweetheart." I pouted.
"Will you still be here when I get home?" Lulu asked.
"Of course, baby." I said.
"Then that's all that matters." She said getting out of bed.
I followed Lulu.
"Are you going to tell me who you chose?" I asked as she washed her face.
"After work." Lulu said brushing her teeth.
"Seriously, Lulu?!" I asked.
"What?" Lulu asked brushing her hair.
"You except me to wait that long?!" I asked.
"You said you've waited four years for me. What's a couple more days. I'm not making you wait a couple days. I'm making you wait a couple hours. So what's a couple more hours?" Lulu asked putting on some makeup.
I stayed quiet because I knew I lost.
I tried to think of something to stay.
"Are you really going to let your best friend stay at home pondering, getting lost in his thoughts?" I asked giving her puppy dog eyes.
"Yes, now get out because I'm changing." Lulu said slamming the door in my face.
"I don't like you right now!" I yelled from the other side of the door.
"I love you too!" She yelled back.
